Re: Can men now get their legs out in the office?
In my office a few men turn up in shorts on hot days, and nobody seems to mind. There's also one man who occasionally turns up in a skirt and bare legs!

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
A couple of weeks ago, in Glasgow. As I was heading out of Morrisons supermarket in Partick, a young man entered. He was dressed head to toe in black, including an ankle-length skirt. I was all in black too, except for a bright purple miniskirt.

Re: New to the cafe, a bit about myself.
Hi Kevino19, Welcome to the Café! I'm another UK man in his 50s, and like others replying before me, I rarely wear trousers. Skirts are so much more comfortable and varied. Start where most guys start, with a kilt or a denim skirt. A kilt needn't be tartan: there are plain cotton or denim ones to be...

Stevie, you have the stones to wear what you like at work or at play. What other stones do any of us want?

Re: Hello from South Dakota, USA
I ... have no home internet, so I'm using the computer in the public library. It is very primitive - the online photo re-sizing sites seem to require some kind of app which this machine does not have. I might have to re-shoot the photo or try Flickr or something. Welcome,Hayseed! We don't often get...

Well done, both of you! Keep on taking your skirts everywhere!
6 months in Madeira would be lovely. Beautiful scenery, the climate is great, and there seemed to be plenty going on in Funchal the times Hazel and I were there. Have you retired there?

Re: Hello from Galicia, NW Spain
Hello JohnnyH, a belated welcome to you!
Galicia is a beautiful part of the world, and one where I blazed the skirted trail for you in 2018 on a holiday in Bilbao and Santiago dl C, including a wee side trip to A Coruña. Nice old town, but I didn't see any Roman centurions knocking about!

That's when the Café was founded. Before my time. No doubt an old timer can tell you more.

Some of their predictions were pretty good. The smart watch with Internet connection was spot on. The video entertainment system has come to pass too. The portable printer wasn't quite so accurate.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Today in Edinburgh, just outside the National Museum of Scotland, a young man in a short pleated skirt and black tights. He was eating lunch with a woman. I didn't talk to him, as we were in a hurry to get to a show, though I did manage to get him in the background of a photo of a statue, here cropp...

Re: Gone Quiet
Am I imagining it, or has the progress to accept men wearing skirt stalled? We don't seem to be hearing much about it in the media these days, even among fashionistas and there are few stories in the press relating to it. Is this a temporary lull? Or are we facing some blowback because people are t...

Re: Hello from the Netherlands
Hello and :welcome: katycatjulius! You are already discovering the problem of skirt sizes. My advice is to find a size that fits in one or two brands, and stick to them. Boden size 12 fits me nicely, and as I found that out several years ago, I now have loads of them, far more of them than I need. B...
