Re: Hi everyone

Hello and welcome, Pete07. You're off to a flying start, and the reactions you have had are fantastic!

That seemed to be three skirted days in a row, are you ever going back to trousers?

Another positive article

“It’s probably going to take a little while before it’s not a complete surprise to see a guy in a skirt in the street. I definitely support it though and want to see it more often.” says some designer. I agree completely! And our very own Mark as in Mark gets his oar in too! https://www.theguardian....

Re: Guide to British slang

Hmm. I give it 8 out of 10. Some of the words and phrases are standard English or merely abbreviations, and some of the translations are wrong. But overall quite a good effort, for a foreigner. 🤭

Re: Antonio Marras

Not as bad as the Marni lot, but that's the best I can say about it.

It claims to be the menswear collection, but half of it is modelled by women. And the women wear almost all of the skirts and dresses. So what's the point?

Re: COS Kilt

Nah, I've been to Largs countless times - I went to school there and now I live only a few miles away - and I've never seen a skirted man there, other than reflected in a shop window.

Re: Flare "pants" aka skirt

Are you sure, denimini? I've only looked at it on my wee phone screen, but I can't see a divide at all. A seam doesn't imply a divide between the legs. Picture 4: the material is all away to the model's right, with little left round the left leg, and no divide apparent. Picture 5: a long stride but ...

Re: Skirts

Welcome Russ! Start with denim, knee-length is probably best unless the weather is too hot, in which case you could go 3 or 4 inches shorter. Whatever you feel is comfortable and pleasing to the eye. If you're happy with that, congratulations and welcome to the world of men's skirts! If you want to ...

Flare "pants" aka skirt

Gentlemen: do you want to wear a skirt but find yourself struggling with the idea of juxtaposing the words "man" and "skirt"? I bring you relief in the form of "flare pants". https://gbr.grandado.com/products/skirt-mens-mens-pants-womens-skirt-couples-wear-summer-skirt-pants-mens-retro-loose-skirts?...

Good news, guys! This is now a snip at only £39.50. And it's sold out in Large, so somebody must be buying them. https://www.cosstores.com/en_gbp/men/menswear/trousers/product.recycled-polyamide-quilted-kilt-grey.0930684001.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAvvKBBhCXARIsACTePW-2aN3b9KgpJxkAdVKe2DPY562evRu0nUWxnvbSi...

However now we have kids she’s encouraging them that it doesn’t matter which side of the shop the clothes come from as long as they like them.
Are they girls (in which case, not a a big deal) or boys?

Re: Nap Dresses for Men

I'm feeling too uninquisitive to Google them, I'm afraid. But I most certainly do wear skirts for working from home. I've hardly worn trousers at all since I last was encouraged to stay away from the office in October. Video calls with colleagues are frequent, a few a day. With clients, less so. But...

Re: Warning: Completely Unmentionables.

I don't see any problem with buying sanitary towels. I've done it several times, though never for myself. I'm shopping for the whole household so there's no reason why I wouldn't buy them if a member of the household needs them. You'd have to be a very bored checkout operator to make a remark about ...
