Re: World leaders and skirts

Took years for a gay politician to come out, and now the number is way loads in the House. Doesn't mean I agree with their policies if they aren't my party, but glad to see them there. I was hoping transvestite Eddie Izzard would stand for Parliament! But we need someone young and ready to push all ...

As long as you pull everything together right otherwise you might draw attention to yourself.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Last day or two of the mild weather here in the UK - in fact the east coast of Scoltland is predicted to be a balmy 14-16c, that would be good in high summer! - so I'll be out in the wilds tonight with my tartan skirt; about 2-3" above the knee. Once the temps drop below 10 it's an inch per 2 degree...

Re: Tartan school skirts

When I think about tartan school skirts, THIS immediately comes to mind....Japanese schoolgirls! I don't think even I could pull off that look and be taken seriously, nor would I try either! If the photo was cropped so their heads weren't visible, then they could easily be males - tartan skir...

Re: Tartan school skirts

I think basically it's common sense. 1 - if I'm out on my own even in pants I avoid school areas during throwing-out time like the plague, both on foot and in traffic (if I can). Therefore 2 - all other times the darned kids are inside and out of the way, or they are in "public" areas in OUR time/sp...

Terrible idea, no matter how much you like the style.
I have three of different tartans. Makes you wonder if we "can't wear them" what we are doing in trousers that boys/girls wear to school!

I got my flu shot last week. I recall feeling somewhat icky for a day or so afterwards.
I have the flu jab every year and feel fine, but had the covid jab twice and felt sleepy and feverish the day after; fine with that though, the second day was absolutely fine!

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Happy to report in Brighton - (a) a gent with shaved head but longish beard walked past, wearing a skirt and quite thick tights; and (b) a young chap in a bar with trendy ripped jeans and clearly fishnets showing underneath!

Re: Another double standard

Is this not just a case of the retailer realising that women buy "men's" clothes and maximising their sales by providing a link? If enough guys bought from the women's section, they would provide a link, but they don't, so they won't.... With tights they have worked that out years ago. Can't rememb...

Re: What is the oldest skirt you own?

The mind is willing, but my 30" waist left me years ago!! This is my current oldest and favouritest, flexi-waist which covers 32-24"; and it's going to Ibiza next week! It's about as old as I started on the web (bought on line) so 2002/4-ish.

I wore this in the office last week;
It confused quite a few and garnered several compliments along the way.
It is also a rarity in that I don't have on glasses, a first in nearly 60 years.
Steve.
great! what's the badge/brooch? I like to wear one on my skirts whenever appropriate
