You're right (RE: Bolo's) I just mis-interpreted your post. Interesting word as well, bolo's, we have in this country bolo ties. I wonder how we managed to re-write the definition of that word.

Well you're close. Gauchos are the South American cowboys. If you back up on the WIko picture page you'll find that explanation. It doesn't say anything about sling shots but it does talk about rough 'n ready much like the old buccaroos. (sp?) I found it interesting that even tho 'they' (the South A...

Gauchos

Just thought you might find this interesting. Gauchos, along with many of today's women's fashions were/are men's attire. I've liked the look since I first saw a woman with a pair some 5 years ago and finally bought a pair this summer. Then, because of the name, I went searching for their origin. He...

It's my understanding that the original meaning of pervert was 'different or in difference to the norm". I wonder how many people think we are 'perverted' for wearing skirts? After all, we are different from the norm.

Nice article, Bob, but I'm not sure it shows the differences between the two groups.

Nice skirts Dan. I haven't looked at your site in awhile. I'll have to go back.

I like the last comment most. Seems to me a lot of those people have a lot of time on their hands.

TITLE, because we're required to to post

I was in a Super Wal today for a variety of things. They had one of the X-Raiders (as in Oakland (American football for those not in the USA)). I think the sign said something about 2 Super Bowl rings. Haven't a clue why he was there. After walking passed a couple of times (I was trying to avoid the...

Count me in as long as it truly is a skirt show. I would hopefully expect to see some 'attractive' tops (ie shirts, blouses, etc.) as well. I find men's tops to be as unattractive as most pants. It's even hard to find a women's top I truly like. I hear you, Skip, regarding the 'Highlanders'. I was in...

Thanks for the link and welcome aboard. The only concern I have about Mr. Holmes' article is that he continually uses the term 'cross dresser'. Hopefully, in a more enlighten world, we can stop using the term altogether. It's just fashion, nothing more, nothing less.

19 inches!!! That's almost to the knees. Gotta start at 14" then get shorter to call them 'mini'. BTW I had a preliminary court (justice) date today. Was wearing a new skort, about 14" overall, 3" at the inseam. Did the skort to be conservative. While standing in line, read the sign, ...

A few years back I had a skirt custom made for me using synthetic Suede (polyester) and get more compliments from it than any other skirt. I took the idea from a skirt that I had bought but was too small. It's an A-line with buttons (functional) from top to bottom in the front. I had the seamstress ...

Actually, Monty, there's nothing 'natural' about boys being better at math etc. Studies show that girls are better at math earlier in their development, say around 10 - 11 yrs old, but the school curriculum does not present itself to this level of development until the students are about 14-15. By t...
