Progress....or discrimination!

Post by Miket »

I've just found this on the web - and I don't know whether to feel pleased .... or seriously affronted.

I'm delighted that a large chain has decided to sell kilts - even if it is only to celebrate Burns night - as if we needed a reason to don a kilt!

I am, however, less than pleased to discover that it is only our friends north of the border who will be able to benefit. I bet they would sell as many down here - on the edge of the West Country - as in Scotland! :?

Aye I read this on The Scottish Sun today - it offer 24.99 for kilt at Lidl and look nice so you may want to have look before decide to buy or not.

I suppose you've already sent an email to Lidl to complain?

Yes, it does seem rather prejudicial (and naive, in fact!)! There'll be as many Kilts seen in that dreaded country, "England", as in Scotland on Burn's Night. Goodness knows why, Burns was a true Sassenach, and never wore one!

Wake up Lidl! You're missing out on mega-profits! If you've got one near you, go in and ask them - you never know, they may be prepared to transfer some stock South!
