Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I'm delighted that a large chain has decided to sell kilts - even if it is only to celebrate Burns night - as if we needed a reason to don a kilt!
I am, however, less than pleased to discover that it is only our friends north of the border who will be able to benefit. I bet they would sell as many down here - on the edge of the West Country - as in Scotland!
Yes, it does seem rather prejudicial (and naive, in fact!)! There'll be as many Kilts seen in that dreaded country, "England", as in Scotland on Burn's Night. Goodness knows why, Burns was a true Sassenach, and never wore one!
Wake up Lidl! You're missing out on mega-profits! If you've got one near you, go in and ask them - you never know, they may be prepared to transfer some stock South!
