Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

At least you verbally and politely, 'slapped 'em down', Skip! Almost makes it worthwhile?
Wasn't trying to slap anyone down, just defending myself. In opposition to what a few here think of me, I really do dislike argueing with anyone about anything. I'd much rather have a mentally challenging conversation about nearly anything.
Was painting in my kitchen today so I'm still wearing one of my 3 pairs of bifurcated garments, a paint splattered pair of cut offs I've had for 20 years, an apron and a old holy T-shirt..

black opague tights, black cotton spandex just above the knee skirt, not shiny at all, zips in the back and fits perfectly, black short sleeved shirt with one vertical white stripe superimposed over a red stripe, with black motor cycle boots.
Wore this outfit for a gathering of friends, as well as checking out neighbor's garage sale. Nothing said.

Khaki knee length straight skirt with pockets, dark green T-shirt, white sox, Birkenstock sandals. Just went out to get my mail and pick up some trash blown onto my yard as it's kinda windy today. This is hurricane season here, ++ cross your fingers we don't get one this year.

Im wearing my massimo just below the knee skirt, suntan hose, gray cleveland browns tshirt, and white ankle socks. I was plaining on possably wearing a black bizz suit skirt and mens bizz suit jacket for an interview today, but i haven't gotten the skirt yet so I don't think i am going to be able too.
here is a link to the skirt i am wearing right now tell me what you guys think
I'm headed out the door as soon as I finish checking out these posts, to the Grocery store, I'll be wearing a red pocket T-shirt, black birkenstocks, and a red twill mid calf straight skirt. A vision in RED..with the black shoes, I should save this combo for the day before my birthday, Halloween.
I've often (since I was born on 11/1 at 1:15 AM) wondered if I was a leftover from Halloween or a Saint. 11/1 is All Saints Day in the Catholic Religion. Probably just a leftover from All Hallow's Eve..

Wore my 46 cm (18 inch) long Bear Kilt with a polo shirt running various errands today. As usual, nobody noticed. I think that we who are more aware of fashion choices overestimate how much attention most folks pay to such details. Most people don't notice and couldn't care less. Works for me.
Since Tuesday, it's been rather warm and unusually muggy in the Seattle area. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, when I was out running errands, I was wearing a Levi's denim paneled skirt with a t-shirt, pair of trouser socks and running shoes. On Friday, the weather did finally cool down a bit, so I swapped out the denim skirt for my Armstrong traditional kilt. Tomorrow, I'm planning to go to the highland games on Whidbey Island. Will be wearing basically the same outfit, but will add a pair of kilt hose and flashes. Might also carry an umbrella, so I don't get soaked, if it's truly as rainy as they say it will be.
