Have been wearing acrylics for over a year now go for fills every 2 weeks have had a pedi once and enjoyed it but for cold months seems pointless. nais done in a french style 24/7 get no commernts at all. sometimes a few double takes, I work the trades and feel the acrylics actually help preserve my hands and nails ie no broken or bleeding nails. Regular monthly pedicures and weekly acrylic manicure treatments brighten my winter months, so my nails will be in good shape for the eventual arrival of the brief Arctic Summer.
Pedicure and manicure are in matching hues right now, bright "Fuschia Girl" from Boundless Color, coupled with gold sparkle topcoat. Altogether, it is quite fetching and rather eye catching. Soon, I can wear my wedge heel strappy sandals, too, so my pedicure will be exposed to the world.
There is something about well done professional nail care that really grabs the women's attention. Almost every day that I am out in public, women stop me to compliment my nails. If I weren't so shy and retiring, I would have a new date almost every night.
I'm not kidding. If you want to meet lots of women, get a bright and flashy acrylic manicure, on long nails.

gotta agree. i get noticed by women fairly often, and their comments are always positive. (1 or 2 exceptions over the years, but nothing to make me doubt
)
unfortunately, those same women would NOT usually date the guy whose nails they were admiring.
just another double standard. they admire the guy with grooming, but the caveman with the sabretooth toenails is the one they chase!
my sister-in-law is a case study of this syndrome. she professes to want the clean-cut "decent" guy, but she DROOLS over the roughneck that looks like he just got paroled and is looking for his next victim. she dates these guys, then wonders why they use her for only one objective: sex.
surprise, surprise, surprise!
i'm fighting a long-term nail infection, but when they're better my toenails will ALWAYS be polished!
