Knee-length Boots and Skinny Jeans

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Knee-length Boots and Skinny Jeans

These are men's Aigle's Parcours Signature Rainboots, but they look like riding boots: 16.5 inch height, 1/2 inch block heel, chocolate brown color, light brown leather for the buckle strap and the snap button closure, and full-grained leather lining. The ladies have the right idea to pair their riding boots with skinny jeans, so I also wear (men's) skinny jeans with my boots.

I feel like a Canadian Mountie with these boots. Just the clunk clunk of the heel and the jingle jangle of the steel buckles sound so classy. If it were just an inch longer and a bit more snug around the calf, it'd be perfection.

BTW, I like low-heel block heel boots just below the knee, but I think over the knee boots/high heeled boots just look ugly.

I have a pair of knee length country boots but I cannot get them on. When I try and put them on my heel gets stuck half way down the boot which is frustrating. The boots are the right size. I read that putting a plastic bag on feet can help get the feet into those boots but I tried it and it didn’t work. :(

If you have looked at any of my pictures you will know that I love my boots. However we are going to have to agree to disagree, since I have no problem with heels and platforms on my boots and I defiantly don't think they are ugly. IMHO🤠

If they are leather boots it would be worth taking tham to a "proper" cobbler and asking them to stretch the instep for you. In the UK the Blockley Cobbler is a good pplace go for any shoe or boot adaptaions or adjustments. He has made unwerable boots really comfy for me.

I bought a pair of Dubarry Country boots at the Dubarry stand at the Chelsea flower show in 2019. At the time I wanted the Navy, which were only shown on the web site in the women's section. However I fronted up in person and said I wanted the navy colour and without a pause, the question came back from the sales lady, "what is your size" I tried on the boots, stumped up the money and came away very happy with my navy boots.

Now days, if you look on the Dubarry site, the same boots are shown in the Women's and Men's section and labeled as Men's and Women's Boots, but look closely at the product code and you will see that it is the same boot. The only difference between the two pages is the range of sizes they present, when we know it is a continuous set of sizes.

I remember at Chelsea, they just had a great pile of the same boots arranged in sizes, types and colour, not gender. You just showed up with feet and money, any they just fitted the right size boots to your feet and took your money.

Yes I know they are expensive, but this was early days of public skirting and I was looked for boots to wear below my skirts. I had tall Timberland and DMs at the time and I was looking for tall manly boots and country boots seem to fit the requirement. They are lovely boots and I think of them as my Range Rover type of boots. They have the waterproof technology to wade streams, but I just use them for style on the streets, just as Range Rovers are used in London. They will probably out last me and some days, they are just the right boot to be in and therefore they make me happy.
