Union Kilts up for sale

Last night I was checking out utility kilts, with a view to spending some money from Christmas and Birthday. I noted that at Union Kilts there are some big reductions. This morning I went back to the site and elected to buy a charcoal grey denim number at £12.50 (really!) https://unionkilts.com/product/charcoal ... enim-kilt/

Just about to checkout, I noticed a banner on the site:

UNION KILTS is FOR SALE

The sale of the business includes all stock, the website and social media accounts. Email Sales@unionkilts.com if interested.

Let's hope that someone comes forward. We don't want to lose another supplier of male fashion freedom.

Al, since the original post is 5 years old, I think that horse has bolted.

Yeah, it has been close to 2 years since I posted about the Union Kilts web site...being replaced by something selling jewelry. I think that company is defunct.

Reviewing the links thread, it looks like several kilt companies have gone out of business. A reminder that that the market for kilts is a small one.

The next obvious step is casual skirts from the other side of the aisle in male drab and other plan styles. From there it's just the wearer's style and comfort with standing out.
Based on images posted by members, I think that a few styles could be borrowed and adapted for men.

Regarding Union Kilts, I was emailing him around the time he was selling the business about the stock he was selling, I was looking at a lamb leather kilt that he had, he was checking what he had, he sent me pictures of one of the leather kilts he had while he was looking for one in my size. He said he was selling the business due to deteriorating health.

One day the emails stopped, and given that nobody seems to have heard from him, I suspect that he may have passed away.

My two cents worth, no one should be limited in the styles they want to wear.

If we are to get more men to wear skirts then styles that are not a big leap from their 'manly' wear need to be readily available. They also need to see that other men are wearing skirts looking similar to their style.

But as i said at the start none of us should be limited in our style.
