I am fortunate to live where I am free to wear what I like without interference from legislation, and there is little chance of that changing. I suspect that is the same for many on this forum, but that's not so for everyone.

As much as we would want to restrict political discussion, I understand those facing changing conditions on their clothing choices need somewhere to express and discuss their situation. The title of a thread should give some indication of the content and if it doesn't interest me I don't have to read it.

Aren't we here to discuss and support each other in advancing the ability of men to wear skirts if they desire?

I started this thread after an experiment to find out the depth of resentment from women.
What I found out is that there is very little bad feeling about men wearing skirts. Most women are reasonably content with men dressing as they choose.

Essentially men and women are saying the same thing. Wear what you want, be who you are.

They problem they have is when men dress in skirts and dresses and masquerade as women. Suddenly the penny drops. How would i feel if I saw a women in jeans and sweatshirt and she had put a false penis in her trousers and wore a false beard?

We are a small minority but there is room for us in this mixed up world. I hear the same thing every day here: "nobody bats an eye". It will take a long time but eventually not batting an eye will be become acceptance and freindship.

For what it is worth I support the LGBTQ+ communities. Their's is the most difficult life. They need everyones support to be their true selves.

Except for the few who think otherwise and minority or not, they cause the problems.

"People are wonderful. I love individuals. I hate groups of people. I hate a group of people with a 'common purpose'. 'Cause pretty soon they have little hats. And armbands. And fight songs. And a list of people they're going to visit at 3am."

Thats why i like you Steve and Mouse, Jeff, Tony, Kieran and all the guys and girls here on the Cafe. I'm not so keen on those who want to exclude others who don"t fit the mould.

In the words of the late great comedian George Carlin…

"People are wonderful. I love individuals. I hate groups of people. I
hate a group of people with a 'common purpose'. 'Cause pretty soon
they have little hats. And armbands. And fight songs. And a list of people they're going to visit at 3am. So, I dislike and despise groups of people but I love individuals. Every person you look at; you can see the universe
in their eyes, if you're really looking."

Another quote from George Carlin…

"The larger the group, the more toxic, the more of your beauty as an individual you have to surrender for the sake of group thought. And when you suspend your individual beauty you also give up a lot of your humanity. You will do things in the name of a group that you would never do on your own. Injuring, hurting, killing, drinking are all part of it, because you've lost your identity, because you now owe your allegiance to this thing that's bigger than you are
and that controls you."
~ GEORGE CARLIN

You one of the good ones DrF for sure.
Yes, I didnt make up the quote, in my defence I put the quote in inverted commas.
The person or people you are not allowed to criticise are the one(s).in charge. On that basis the cafe is not that bad.
