Apology to Sapphire

Sapphire (and by extension, crfriend), My intention several weeks back was purely tongue in cheek. In no way did I mean to insult you; instead, I was playing off the very rude discussion you had mentioned a few weeks prior. I chose my words very poorly. I clearly offended you, and I am deeply sorry....

Re: Women Speak Up

Early on in this thread, I posted a reply to silky's query. There have been no reponses at all, yet there continues to be speculation about what women would think or what their motives would be. Why on Earth should I respond further? So I can be ignored once again? Why should any woman reply given ...

Today was a white button down shirt with a short black plaid skirt (mid-thigh), black pantyhose, and my chunky heeled 3" loafers.

Re: Trying on skirts in clothes shops

Which is why I have my own personal policy on this, I ask to try stuff on and if they let me I happily do it and if the item works, I buy it, and if they decline, I don't take it personal, I just don't try it on and I don't buy it. They've elected to let me know that my purchase isn't important to ...

Re: Trying on skirts in clothes shops

Back to the original question, "Are men allowed to try on skirts in a shop?" Of course, if they didn't it would be like holding up pounds, euros or dollars and burning them. I can't think of any merchant that owned the store ever turning away a paying customer. Have you? At least not in t...

Re: Perception!

Your situation is different. There's no reason why the FAA would even need to be officially aware of your choice of clothing off the job. They don't need to do anything at all about it. Even if they become unofficially aware of it, it's a whole lot simpler for them if they just pretend they never s...

Re: Would you wear this dress?

Since the discussion has turned to dresses in general I will say I have always been surprised dresses haven't been as popular among men as skirts seem to be. True the fitting becomes much more difficult to a male frame and skirts can be paired with many tops but still skirts and dresses really are ...

Re: New black denim skirt

I love Macy's skirt selections. A couple of years ago, I bought a great bright red miniskirt online from there. I loved it!

Re: Skirt friendly tested locations

Nice of you folks trying to help Matt out, but did you by chance look at the date he posted? by Matt on 12 Jun 2006 06:12 pm He hasn't been to this site in at least a year. He or Nitrox :hide: I knew it was old when I revived it, but I thought it was useful to address his post anyway, even if he is...

Re:

Where were you in IN? Indy might be a bit more friendly. The college towns are as well. I saw a guy wearing a skirt around West Lafayette back in '96. I never found South Bend to be a problem, and I lived there for years. I realize I'm awfully late to the thread, but I don't recall ever having a si...

Re: Skirt suits

I like neil's way of thinking. Straight skirts or kilt like ones are the best for men. Flouncy, lacy, poofy , actually are usually not part of a woman's skirt suit . The skits with such suits are straight and tight. This I think can be adapted for men by making the cut of the coat a man's cut, butt...

Re: Skirt suits

I think that skirt suits for men could come in many ways. Obviously, the kilt suit is one variant, and I think that could be a good entry point for the man concerned about the perception of crossdressing. It's clearly a "masculine" garment, in much the same way that there are skirt suits f...

Re: Is It Me?

I've had two interesting experiences in the last week or so. The first one was last week. I don't have any prejudice against trousers, I just like to wear whatever I like to wear whenever I like to wear it. As a rule, my taste in skirts is either long skirts (ankle or calf length) or kilts with tal...
