Interesting that one can play lead, rhythm and bass guitar all on the same instrument - but it must be use with an amplifier.

I'm into acoustic guitars - can play anywhere and without needing electricity.

Maybe you need a harp guitar, then

If you cross the Chapman Stick with a lap steel guitar, you get a harpejji.

Certainly very interesting and they can be made to sound very versatile, embracing classical with it seems all other forms of musical diciplines.

The things don't look pretty, though and of course rely totally on amplification to be heard at any distance.

There's the traditionalist in me ranting on.....

Probably the most well known player of the Chapman Stick is every band's favourite bass player, Tony Levin.
Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, ABWH, Stick Men and many other bands and soloists.

Yes, I’m fully aware you posted Nick Beggs in skirt playing Chapman stick on a thread made a long time ago. However, I thought I’d post a photo of him playing Chapman stick in skirt as this topic was about the Chapman stick and coincidentally this forum is about men in skirts and nobody has posted about about him on this thread so I thought I’d post even though I remember it posted on another thread a few years ago.
