Denim Skirt Again

Post by cessna152towser »

I wore my new denim cargo skirt out and about again today, third consecutive day. This was a more ambitious outing as I took my wife out in the car to a retail shopping outlet about forty miles from home where we spent more than four hours out and about in the mall and in and out of shops. The only comment I got was in the sports shop where I bought some soccer socks and the young lass who served me said that she liked my kilt. Nobody else noticed or showed any interest, which is just as it should be. My own comfort zone, as shown here, is for the hem of the skirt to be level with the top of matching knee socks but each will have their own preference. To anyone still trying to pluck up the courage to go out in a skirt I'd say again, just go for denim, you will be amazed how a denim skirt on a guy looks good and gains public acceptance. My wife, who wears trousers every day, says the skirt suits me really well and if I'm going to wear it often I should get another one so I have now ordered a black jeans skirt from Midas Clothing.

Yes, Sapphire, I agree.

Also you look very manly in the skirt (can't say "them" as a skirt is singular and a pair if pants is plural). The skirt is undoubtedly a success.

The jacket isn't especially stylish, with the skirt, but on cold windy days, be sensible, and warm, who cares? You look great in your clothes. I would say you look just positively "normal".

As for the sensibility part, I think that too plays a part. Someone dressing like he would in California in the summer when you are actually in .... the northern hemisphere, in the winter may look rather foolish no matter how good you look in your skirt. I think we are not only ""judged"" by our correct choice of outfit, but also as everyone ultimately is, by dressing sensibly for the weather and place situation.

I think it is a very nice skirt. And the side pocket may be very handy too.

It is also very nice to see the more mature generation, of which I am a member, wearing skirts, as the tendancy may be to think that more mature men are bejond doing this soort of thing. We are not bejond it at all.

Enjoy the freedom.
And thanks for the Photo. It is a nice clean shot.

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

That is one good looking rig! Well done!

It may be denim, but it's not invisible to us.

I agree with what the others have said - that's a great skirt and it suits you very well. You look good - and you look relaxed. A great 'advertisement' for MIS!

Good looking skirt, I must say tho, that I don't think the guy in the background that was staring a hole in your back was thinking of anything but the skirt, unless he was with you. He looked to be of the age that might "think" unkind things but would never say anything unless drunk. :)
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Can't say I was aware of anybody staring at the skirt. After the photo was taken I turned and walked past the guy in the background and he didn't appear to notice the skirt.
Anyway here's a back view, without the jacket.

Yes the denim skirt looks great on you.

Glas to see you also wear knee length socks with your skirts.

The jacket looks functional - who give a dam about style when it is brass monkey weather.

The skirt looks very nice from the back, too. The black belt gives it a bit of um manliness. Belts make things look, functional, meaning business. Give that "line"which is sometimes needed to break and give effect to the clothes worn.

Good on you.
