It looks like the skirt helps him fly over the hurdles.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I had an apointment for an eye check in Broken Hill today. Caught the bus a 8.00am as usual and after travelling about 180kms, with 16 to go, there was a road block with a police car and was told that the road ahead was closed for at least 2 hours due to a nasty road accident about 3kms further on. ...

Well better a tape measure than a micrometer.

Re: men swimwear's trends

Last time I went for a dip was a few years ago at the coast when I wore a mini skirt with underwear and a T-shirt to keep the sun off. Now I have bought a sports mini skirt/skort of a material that will dry easily but I prefer to mess about in boats, which keep you out of the water.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I absolutely love the idea of a dress more and more, but have trouble with the location of the waistline; especially being on the taller side. Yes, although I am not tall I find that on most dresses the waist line is too high and makes me look pregnant when I aren't. There is a term "drop wais...

Re: Insurance... the silent killer of freedom

I know, I know, insurance costs are increasing here in Australia as well; floods, bushfires and climate change is what they say. I did call them and complain and they said that they would get back to me, which they did with a much reduced premium. Then there is compulsory car insurance for registrat...

Re: men swimwear's trends

Contrebandiers de perruches are not new. I am disappointed that they did not go for swim skirts, where a man could have more success in smuggling a budgie, let alone greater aesthetic discretion.

Re: Will Skirts Ever be Mainstream for Men?

This refers nicely to the "two camps" that have been referred to in the past -- and it dovetails perfectly with Stu's assertion of skirts-as- signifier . I think that there are as many camps as there are people. We are all individuals with unique histories, influences and genetics. If som...

I fear that there would be more ripping noises if you attempted a long stride in that. Cut it in half and make two miniskirts :]

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

I don't think skirts for men will ever be normalized in Western society, and truthfully, I really don't care. As long as it's not criminalized I'll be just fine. :) I would second that. That is very much my thinking, we can wear skirts now and it does not matter if it is not a popular choice for ot...

Re: Will Skirts Ever be Mainstream for Men?

I personally don't care if skirts will ever be mainstream for men, they probably are not mainstream for women either now but women can still choose to wear them when they like .................. and so can we with few restrictions, which is all that matters. From my experience and observation; a per...

Re: New Adventure begins

Congratulations on your nickle and brass anniversary. I am surprised that you are talking about returning to your roots so soon, but I certainly can understand that, especially when you are still calling it home. I probably missed some points in your post with GOP and red and purple. In Australia Re...

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

Not much has happened as far as men wearing skirts in the wider world, in the past 9 years. On a personal level there have been huge progress in many of our lives regarding breaking clothing conventions.
