Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I wear my denim skirt just as if it was a casual kilt - with boots and either soccer or rugby knee socks and either a tee-shirt or polo top. Today it is cold so I also wore a hooded fleece.
This time of the year I like to wear sweatshirts or heavy t-shirts with long sleeves.(this also helps disguise my mild dunlop disease) This past summer I purchased several shirt-waist dresses at a local Walmart. These I wear over a short skirt with the buttons below the waist left open. I usually wear athletic shoes but western boots are fun also. I infrequently wear pantyhose or heavier tights but I don't like them as much as bare legs because PH diminish the skirt sensation.
I usually do what Alex does, with any skirt (or kilt) that I wear publicly. Usually kilt hose or nicer kneesocks with the kilts. Skirts, soccer socks, striped kneesocks, or nylon kneesocks, depending on the weather.
