Interesting clips with guys in skirts?

Post by Raakone »

Hey. With the age of Youtube, maybe we should all give clips that have guys in any MUGs you can find. One example... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TmSCV730Cc from some Tamil movie, has the guys in sarongs, most of the time. I have no idea what the song's about. Anyone else have any cool clips?

I thoroughly enjoyed the lighthearted feel of this clip. Totally different to the ( sometimes rubbish) music we have to listen to these days.

Quite interesting, and pleasing, to see the men in skirts / sarings or whatever. It looked very natural. And it is. Of course. Why we have the I dea that western people are so cramped about men wearing skirts I really don't know. Of course wearing skirts ofa soort in warm countrys seems more logical than in cooler climates.

Thanks for the pleasurable clip.
A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSy7_usyYZY This is a traditional Burmese wedding. Note that almost everyone (except for one or two boys) is wearing a longyi, or Burmese sarong. Burma is now known as "Myanmar." Anyways, this is the happiest day for a happy couple....and both are in sarongs.

Isn't it funny how ( me ) looking at these films, I don't have the slightest thought even, about the men wearing "other" clothing, except for the fact that I am looking at them because they were put on this forum. I myself don't think anything strange of men wearing skirts, not as being anything special.

But if I was to vieuw a film with a few skirt wearers amongst other men in p*nts, then I would see that there is a difference in attire. I think that this would be so for many people, outside of "our"skirt wearing community, easily accepting, not even thinking of the ( foreign ) men as wearing a form of skirt, when they are people in a foreign land. But when men in our western world also wear skirts, well, then THAT is a whole different kettle of fish, :?    (for them, not me ofcourse)

Now THAT brings back good memories for me :) There's nothing like playing field hockey in a skirt :)

Thanks for finding that :)

Burma is still Burma to the Burmese people. It is the ruling regime that has renamed the country Myanmar and moved the capital from Rangoon. Various countries chose one or the other depending on their attitude to the Ruling Junta.

Much as I like the Burmese men`s skirt wearing I am happier in UK where I don`t get shot at (we call it Burma still).

Loved all the videos. Good thread :)

"Tomb of the Cybermen"....kilted man.

Post by Raakone »

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI9W9bxhMK0 to catch a part of "Dr. Who's" "Tomb of the Cybermen." There's a man in a kilt named Jamie in this. All the other parts are available from the links on this part.

Me, I didn't even exist when it was recorded. In fact my parents may have not even met yet. Such is the diversity of our group. Still, this is cool. And I think at one point Jamie ("The Guy in the Kilt") even gets to fire at "The Original Borg" with one of their weapons (yup, the "Borg" of Star Trek were inspired by the Cybermen)
