Which Department Store Do You Sho At?

Post by ziggy_encaoua »

If anybody has surfed my fashion directory they'd notice I don't include department stores mainly because corporate brands are are generally boring & conformist. However realising that most people probably do shop at department stores, I thought I'd ask folk which ones would they shop at?

Sainsburys. I can get my groceries, have a cup of coffee and a bun, fill up my car with diesel and buy a skirt for less than £10.
Well - you did ask.....

Ziggy,

I don't go to any particular store when clothes shopping but have bought skirts from Fat Face, Tesco, Primark, Matalan and New Look.

In each case I tried them on to check fit before buying and I have never had so much as an obvious raised eyebrow in any of them.

I have also tried skirts at Marks and Spencer and John Lewis but they seem to make them for slightly differently proportioned folks so they were unable to provide me with a good fit. In both cases the staff were helpful, trying to find appropriately sized garments without any surprised looks let alone snide comments.

Have fun,

Ian.

Hi Steve,
Newport Asda is the same---some great skirts to be had, good service and a good line in treble sausage filled rolls :) . That George stuff is very good and so cheap.

Wish I could fill my car up, even without buying a skirt, for less than a tenner :)

Unfortunately a typical fill up cost between £55 and £60 (about 110 to 120 US Dollars at today's rate)

Have fun,

Ian.
