Kilts Seem Immune to Daily Life

Post by skirttron »

One thing that amazes me about my kilts is how long I can go without getting them cleaned. Now, this is a strange phenomenon because usually the first thing that happens when I put on new clothes is that I splash coffee on them. Maybe I'm more careful because I like my kilts.
Has anyone else noticed this about skirts/kilts?

I have noticed that my old kilt seems more than happy go go for months without anything more than being hung or laid flat. And that was before I got too big for it. Don't know about skirts yet, only just started collecting them, but will soon have 7 or 8 in my collection. Just need courage now!

probably it's the tartan design--if they were all completely white, I bet it wouldn't be long before you'd be scratching your head as to how to hide the drops of coffee or whatever!

just like the table designs at those cheap roadside diners--splishes and splashes of colour all over them, hiding the splishes and splashes of ketchup and mustard which await unsuspecting elbows.
The only thing man cannot endure is meaninglessness.

I saw some pics on the Utilikilt website of a guy who got married in a white UK. A white kilt looks real cool but you're right. It would show every little drop of coffee, etc. With my black Utilikilt, either I'm real careful not to get it soiled or nothing shows on it. When I finally washed it [about 2 years after getting it], it really didn't look any different than before the washing! :)
