I thought this was a very sympathetic view of the growing trend for MUGs. worth reading!

I particularly like the re-assurance that:

"In fact, more than a third of all men worldwide wear skirted garments on a regular basis, and those styles are making increasing inroads against the recent tradition of trousers for men throughout Western culture."

Statistics

Post by JLH »

As Mark Twain said there are statistics, damn statistics, and lies.

I'm not real sure what is meant here nor the source of the data. But the statement, In one third of the world, men wear skirts on a regular basis, would be the same words, more or less but would not send the same message.

The entry is, none the less, encouraging and I am thankfull it was brought up. It's a god place to send na-sayers.

I thought the quote was "lies, damn lies, and statistics."

wikipedia

I don't look at the wikipedia as gospel for anything. Most of the facts are not checked. It is probably written by a fellow kilt wearer with the desire to expand the popularity of it. But never the less, it is a great idea to have an entry at the wikipedia.

I use the wikipedia a lot, both in and away from work. I have never found anything inaccurate in it, well not so far anyway. I also think that that article is a good article, well worded and it didn't come across as either for or against. Good on 'em!
