I do not propose to be the forerunner of fashion freedom but I must share with you a pic of an outfit which I recently aquired. In a womans world it would be a dress but I like to think of it as a full length turtle neck sweater.. Post your veiws

I have to say this, with that bald spot and tummy you already have, a cowl and hood, you could pass for Friar Tuck. :):):)

How masculine is that?? :):):)

I also agree it is quite a masculine look. Also the brown matches your side-hair. It would not come across to me as feminine at first clance.

Even knowing it is a dress it still makes the impression of a shirt and matching skirt, Mushroom. I'd say the dress would blend in and be unremarkable in a crowded event until someone got close enough to see the lower portion.

Bravehearts... yes it is very comfy... and as for the comment from "merlin" well I'm not sure about that but I have worn it with a sport coat... (don't like ties , but will wear one if required) and I think it looks great that way... plus it would give me someplace to put my wallet and other stuff
It's MY skirt... and I'll wear it anywhre I please... thank you

Ties

Post by Since1982 »

In my 64 years of life, I've worn "ties" exactly 3 times and they were ALL clip ons. At my high school graduation, and 2 college graduations. Never since and never in the future unless some %&$#%&#&# of a funeral director goes against my will and sticks one on my lifeless body. My will states that I'm to be buried in my favorite mid calf blue skirt and blue T-shirt and black leather car coat.

HOPEFULLY, before that happens, Those clothes will be changed for ones with smaller waists. LOL

Nice outfit!

I like those kinds of dresses be they men's or women's.

I would also agree that a brown full-length garment like that on a man, might give some folks the opinion that you are in some sort of religious order.

I had someone once ask me if I was Buddhist while I was wearing my Macabi all the way down.
Of course, she was from East India where the men where dhotis (sp?).
Still, it was a nice feeling being asked something like that instead of, "Are you trying to look like a girl?!".

I don't favor turtle necks but I do like dresses like that.

Thanks for sharing!:)
