how can it be inappropriate? this is a forum for guys wearing skirts and kilts! I'd probably consider buying it!

remember: inappropriate is a word best used for disguising embarrassing acts. A president acted inappropriately with an intern. The bank robber acted inappropriately with the bank's funds. the president inappropriately bombed a country into the stone age.

a useful word! one gigantic fig leaf. so, what kind of kilt is for sale?

Selling Kilts here from my perspective is perfectly ok and appropreate. :)

If you fear you're spamming, don't worry. As long as you keep your offer to one thread, and since you're obviously not trying to inundate us with free V1agara or mortgages, go right ahead!

Clinton

We in the USA don't actually know that for sure. We only know Monica SAID he did. We know he faced a witch hunt and lost. We know he didn't run for office again because of it. Probably unlike the British Empire, we get to hear all the seedy details of accusations by people wanting to become famous. Our police here are great for believing the caller and never believing the callee. Whoever gets to the phone first is nearly always believed and the other person nearly always goes to jail. :(

The interesting thing that never saw the light of day was that both of the individuals involved were adults, and whatever act occurred was consensual (if any act of any kind might be considered "consensual" around the most powerful person on the planet). My whole opinion on the matter was, "Grow up -- the lot of you. Even adults sometimes do stupid things." At least Clinton didn't dangerously and recklessly destabilise an entire region.

Our brothers in the UK get their share of public embarrassments; they just seem to deal with them in a slightly more mature manner.

did they ever get the stain out of that dress? it seemed such a shame to spoil it.

I always thought clinton was a great leader but seeing him lying under oath was a pretty sad spectacle.

can you post an image of the kilt? what length is it?

The standard laundering advice remains the best. Wait 'til it dries and then remove it with a brush. :) I don't recall seeing a picture of The Dress, but if I recall correctly it was velvet. Nice fabric -- I have a skirt made of the stuff and I like it.

The whole sordid affair turned on precise wording, and on the *exact* meaning of "sex". I'll not go into all the details 'cause this is, after all, a "family-friendly" establishment, but there was enough "wiggle room" that might release Mr. Clinton from perjury charges. After all, the English language, for the most part, is remarkably imprecise. If you want precision, that's what "legalese" is for (and one has to marvel at how exactly precise it is).

What, again, does this have to do with skirts save for the erstwhile laundering tip? (Although that tip may be handy for the "commando crowd" -- oops, that isn't "family-friendly" :D Sorry.)

I will measure it shortly, at first guess I would think it is around 24" long.

If it hasn't sold already you might want to mention the material, Layne.

I'm thinking a subdivision for sales might be a good idea here so offerings would be front and center to give them the time they need to be seen without getting buried by the regular posts. I know I'd make use of it as Quiet Man weeds out skirts that don't fit/tastes change/too many similar ones.
