Themed Birthday party ideas

Post by Cams »

In july I will be turning 38, no big deal I know. My wife's half sister will be turning 18 as well, actually 2 days prior but my Birthday is on a Saturday and that is the day the half sister has chosen for her celebration. Due to where she lives she asked if we could have her party at our house which we have pretty much said yes to.

Anyway, she wants to have a themed dress up party. Come dressed as something that has the same first letter as your name. My name starts with C, some have already mentioned I could go as a cross dresser, I think not, It's not me, I actually dislike that description.

I was thinking "Confused" I do want to wear a skirt probably a mini and usaul male clothes on top. But Confused? perhaps a bad choice.

What do you think?

I also thought about Cinderella or catwoman, but I think these are extreme. This is a good opertunity for those that haven't seen me to see me how I like to dress. They may perhaps approve of my choice. Cheerleader was another thought.

I live in Melbourne Aus and in July, it ain't warm, evenings less than 10* Celcius, so I need something at least a bit warm, alsodon't really want to spend a lot on something to wear/hire.
Have a nice Skirted Day :)

If you have a kilt you could say your you are dressed as a Celt.

You could go completely modern and say it's a Welsh "Cilt", as the (former) Welsh language is deficient of the letter "K" (& 4 others!) and the Welsh have recently started to adopt Kilt-wearing!

That's trivially easy. You're "Completely Confident Concerning Clothing Choices"!

'Nuff said. :D Wear whatever you want.

Since you will wear a mini and normal male clothes on top, why not "Combination" or "Convertible".

I actually didn't think of comfortable at first, couldn't get past CD and confused.

Thing is that I will be dressed normally in my eyes, and my wifes. Which isn't "fancy" at all. Cheerleader is a maybe at the moment.

What a great excuse to wear what you like! It's just like a Vicars and Tarts party, where all the guys go as Tarts just so they can dress up in fishnet stockings and suspenders and tight dresses :D

How about 'corruptable' and go as a St Trinians schoolgirl.

Well to cut a long story short. The party isn't here anymore, we arn't going (oportunity lost)

So it all doesn't matter now. Would heve been tagged as a cross dresser anyway, most people have simple views on issues like this.

Keep 'Christ' in mind for next time. I've never seen him in artwork in a pair of pants.

simple views

Simpletons have simple views, hence the word simpleton. Too bad there are nearly as many simpletons as lemmings and penguins(suits).

Well there has been some second thoughts on my behalf. Lately I have been getting negative reactions from my wife and her family, so my confidence is somewhat down. At this point, my feelings are to go in jeans and be a cranky bastard for the night (which I will be if I wear jenas)

Un fortunately, my skirt wearing is once again hidden away and doubt I will get out anywhere wearing what I want. As for the party, the wife sais, well it is fancy dress and there wouldn't be a problem. But I just feel so negative about wearing any skirt anywhere. Feel like what I want is no longer important. Sucks being a man.
