New Men's skirt brand - lesskirt

Look - some actual MIS skirts. Approx $65 USD, which is a bit pricey for what type of skirts these are - but keep in mind price can also play a role in adding value to a garment in people's minds.

I like to support companies which step into the men's/gender free, skirt arena, but, they have to meet me half way, black, chino beige and karki..... dull man box stuff.
I guess the pricing is similar to Skirtcraft, but the construction dosent seem to have the same amount of detail. I mean a skirt with an elasticated waist you could knock together in a few hours and use a more interesting fabric to boot.

:hmmm:
Seems like Japan is trying to compete in the world of men's fashion.
Far cry difference to the Kimono :)

Correct - these aren't very special and fit the "male drab skirt" profile we all have been worried about taking hold. But I want to think that it has to start somewhere. Not everyone is going to want to rock the boat. Also, I feel that any retailer selling MIS products, any investor/manufacturer willing to take a risk is a chip in the wall of conformity.

I would'nt mind having one of them, a few more colours would be nice but I think these are probably easier to sell for starters.

The big question I have is of there are any pockets in front, there are the two patch pockets back but it would be nice with two side seam or just ordinary front pockets.

I'll be putting it up on my might buy list anyway. :)

They must have front pockets - several pictures in their lookbook demonstrate hands in pockets.

I follow their Instagram account, and I must say for such simple skirts they do know how to style them:

Drab? Perhaps. But I truly believe it's advertising and styling like this that will pave the way for "common man" to wear a skirt.

The orange looks less drab? https://www.instagram.com/p/DDBSg8kzV-K/?img_index=2 So they can do colour.

I'm a old-fashioned guy who likes pockets and belt-loops.
I see the Lesskirt has a drawstring. Sometimes they work OK for me, sometimes not.
I too prefer the orange, of the colors shown. There's a man standing in front of the pack
whose skirt appears to be green. That would be my choice, if available.
Right now I'm thinking about trying a knee-length Macabi.

Lesskirt seems like an interesting option for those exploring men's skirts, especially with their MIS (Men in Skirts) designs. While $65 USD might feel a bit steep for the type, pricing often reflects not just materials but also niche appeal and brand identity. If the quality and fit justify the price, it could be worth considering. Has anyone tried them yet? Would love to hear about the fabric, durability, or styling tips!.
