I reached skirt nirvana

I have finally reached skirt nirvana. I have been wearing skirts in public for several years. I have very very rarely had any experience that approached negative. In fact in the last 7 years I may have heard 1 negative comment and that was from a homeless person that was a bit deranged. That being said there are still certain family members on my wife’s side that have not seen me in a skirt. One of those is her brother he is pretty outspoken and conservative if you get my drift. Anyway my wife and I were out yesterday I was wearing quite a bright blue hiking skirt. We were going by his house and he was outside with his wife. My wife said let’s stop. We stopped and spent an hour out in the yard with them. I did not get a single skirt comment or awkward glance. Everything was perfectly normal. I consider that a victory that I wasn’t sure would ever happen. I wear skirts everywhere a big percentage of the time and could not be more comfortable doing it. I have found the only time people are surprised may be the first time they see you. The next time it’s normal. I encourage you if you haven’t, to spend more time out skirted. You will be glad you did.

Family of whatever flavour can be the most difficult to deal with.
You're right that the more men are normally seen in skirts, the sooner society will be forced to accept that normality.
BTW, kudos to your wife for her support too.
