Want both!

Post by Sarongman »

I'd love just some of this kid's talent and also covet that 3 manual & pedal Mason and Hamlin reed organ.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvWTbSR3vC0 I hope this shows up, as I can't access it, according to my computer, through the link without installing Adobe flash, which I have-My Win 7 and Adobe flash don't like each other.

Hmm, I don't think I have a problem with Flash on this Win7 computer. I have it in a couple of ways. Flash 11 is installed on the computer and I have a Shockwave Flash plugin installed in Firefox. The only problem I have with Flash is it nags me about once a month to update and always tries to load some crapware along with the update. Be careful to uncheck the boxes on one of the install screens.

I tried to view it on my Galaxy S-something but it wouldn't work. I'll have to try it on my Win- 7 later. Don't know much about the reed organ, but I'd absolutely love to have a M&H BB or AA but an A or even a B would be nice, 20's vintage or earlier.

Well, I'm on Win-7 and using Firefox.
I was just on Youtube.com using my
Galaxy S-III, showing my wife the
"Pet Interviews" with a Guinea Pig.
Hilarious!

Now back to the organ link - didn't work for me either.
Please check the link and re-post it.

Andrew,

The M&H is in a church in Worcestershire, UK.
Go back to the link and click on "read more" to
find out the details and specification of the organ.

Yes Al, pretty impressive specs for a reed instrument. While there, did you peruse the Rushworth & Dreaper offering? That is what happens when a pipe organ builder creates a reed organ, and is the pre war ancestor of the Allen, Viscount etcetera. What impressed me in the M&H clip was the confident pedalling. Sorry these haven't got theatre voicing, not a tibia to be found! :bom: This R&D, one of their smallest, went on British eBay for a measly $200 on current exchange rate.

That's the fugue from Bach's "Great" Fantasia in G minor, BWV 542. One of my favorites though I've only dabbled with a bit. He seems to play it pretty well but the video only had half the fugue and none of the fantasia.
