STAR WARS Symphony

Post by Uncle Al »

This Clip will take you to a new and exciting place.
Close your eyes as you listen, you can hear the "instruments" playing their
respective parts. Then, when it's over, you're still trying to figure out how
ONE PERSON could sound like a symphony :!:

That's Theatre Pipe Organ music for you. The TPO was designed to replace the
orchestra in the movie houses. That's why a TPO is labeled as a "Unit Orchestra".
The original wind-powered orchestral synthesizer, the One-Man-Band :!: :D

BTW - I will be presenting a 20-30 minute program this Sunday
at our ATOS Chapter meeting. The butterflies are building quite
nicely in my stomach ;)

Nice clip, Uncle Al.

From what I've already heard, 20-30 minutes will be no trouble to you. Do you have an overall Medley theme, or will it be unrelated pieces?.

I assume also that you will be kilted!

Not nearly enough keys, buttons, stops, bells, and whistles. I mean really, only 300 keys? How is anyone supposed to make music with such short resources?

I do LOVE these big old organs. The wife and I used to go enjoy Diane Bish concerts when we lived in South Florida. She can whip an organ to a standstill.
