siblings?

Carl recently wrote that he was an "only child".
I too had no sisters or brothers, just a few cousins, who, as it happens were "only" children, too.

I wonder whether one grows up with a more independent way of thinking when one has no siblings around one all the time, setting examples, giving advice or threats.

Is there any correlation between out-of-the-box men (skirt-wearers, free-thinkers, rebels, misfits, what have you) and single childhood.

Having siblings and not considering myself a rebel, I tried to vote without ticking any of the boxes. But it wouldn't let me. You need to adjust your questions!

I have one younger sister - she doesn't know about my skirt wearing but is fine with a kilt which I have worn on several family occasions.

I did on a few occasions, try on a couple of her very, very short minis when the house was empty. (the Mary Quant era was at its height, so to speak )

I had (have) 5 sisters, one brother and numerous cousins. They all are used to see me in kilt or skirt. All were quite surprised the first time but nobody openly objected.
I don't consider myself a rebel; I just prefer kilts and skirts over pants. That's all!

I ticked off just "openly skirted, only son" as I do not consider my self much of a rebel. I am a free-thinker to be sure, and I tend very much to take my own path through life, but otherwise tend to not "rock the boat" needlessly.

I am the oldest of 4. I was always considered a rebel. Now I'm just the weird older brother in a kilt. (They don't know about my skirts)

I know i am the only son with two younger sisters.

I have always saw the skirts, but knowing that i was a man they were for just women. I don't see that now as the right way now, i have even had talks my self with how limited men really are in clothes. Shorts, pants to me that is a limitation i don't want to live with. THis should be a movement in its self men asking for the freedom that women have really without thinking about it.

Got an older sister, so am an "only son". Don't really consider myself a rebel, even though I'm skirted and have long hair. Sister doesn't care for the skirt aspect, but barely tolerates it. Tolerates my kilts more, but still doesn't really care for those. Rest of my family seems to be ok with it, after a long uphill battle.
