I like pleated skirts/kilts and the pleats have to always be perfect. Yes one of the drawback is that you need to iron those....

Once every blue moon I get my ancient kilt dry cleaned. They press it of course. Between times it seems to hold the pleats fairly well. It doesn't look freshly pressed but it does look presentable, for a twenty one year old garment! Must get a new one but not until I can shrink a few more inches!

New fabrics hold the pleats better then with wool. But still ... especially when you seat in the car for a long time. But I know I am kind of a pane for that.
