Nice looking nightshirts :!:
They are a bit too short for me as I prefer ankle length.

I've alway fancied having my own nightshirt. Perhaps this ought to be one of my sewing projects for this year!

I've found a few "White Stag" dresses at Wal-Mart that I wear as
nightshirts. They are a 'Poly-Fleece-Knit' type of material. Haven't
seen them in quite awhile. The one's I have, I purchased 5-6 years
ago. Watch the current 'sales' as the existing merchandise is being
phased out for the 'Spring' line of clothes. I wear a 22-24 and find
the 'stretchy' ones fit the best.

Why is it that whenever I think of a nightshirt, an image of Scrooge appears in my head?

I bought an african djellabaya - very baggy fitting, polycotton, ankle length.
£20 (overpriced) at a nearby market

I wear ones by New Zealand Nature Co. They ship worldwide. They have men's and women's. I buy the women's ones actually because they are heavier silk and longer than the men's.

http://www.pukkapyjamas.co.uk/ have some excellent things. Maybe not ankle length (depending on your height of course) but certainly below knee length on me.

Just re enlisted on this board to warn you all about the Damart Nightshirt as featured in their online catalogue.
It is shown in the sale section and under mens nightwear.
damartNshirt.jpg
Now I don't know what you all think, but it looks like a nightshirt to me.
Although when you read the description, it refers to elasticated waist....

So I decided to phone them, even though it is a premium rate number, Well to be honest, not premium but not cheap either.
twice the price of a normal uk call.
A clinically efficient call centre lady answered and I explained I didn't see how a night shirt could have an elasticated waist, Also could she explain
the sizing, as the size chart does not show the sizes listed.
She said all she had was the description, So I assume she was reading from a screen, like me. and the size 34+ meant, 34 and more.
Ermmm So the 34 was for 34/35/36/37. Where did this magic size stop? Why did they need a 38+ when surely a 34+ would fit.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the parcel arrived just now, and I opened it with bated breath...... Pyjamas.
Yup.
Plain old boring pyjamas.
BE WARNED
Somehow, I don't think I will be buying anything else from them as this is close to misrepresentation in my humble opinion.
Oh, they also seem reluctant to respond to the form mail.

Tim,

If you order from http://www.pukkapyjamas.co.uk/, as mentioned in the last post, you will not be disappointed.

I have bought two from these people, and they are ideal.

Good to hear you are back again.

Keith,
Thanks for the welcome back and the tip.
I have just done exactly that,
Their range looks good, The three NZ silks ones that I have are getting a bit tatty, much like me !

Although they are nice and comfortable to wear, two of them are full of holes.
Hey, One out of three can't be bad eh?

Damart told me they were having problems with the website and that is the reason they are showing the wrong picture.
A bit pathetic in my humble opinion.
Anyway Keith, I will keep you all posted.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but why not just buy an Arabic kaftan?
