Possible places to get support from the fashion world.

Post by imadube »

Here are some web site I found that may have some support untapped. I think the Indie sites may be the best places to look.

apparel-news.net - clothingnews.net - contemporary-fashion.com - contemporary-style.com - cool-clothing.com - designerfashionnews.com - hiphopfashionnews.com - independent-fashion.com - independent-style.com - independentfashionnews.com - indie-fashion.com - indie-style.com - indiefashionnews.com - mens-apparel.net - mensfashionnews.com - street-wear.net - streetfashionnews.com - streetweardaily.com - streetwearfashionnews.com - streetwearnews.net - stylefashionclothing.com - stylelinks.net - urbanfashionnews.com - womens-style.com - womensfashionnews.com - womensstyle.net

Sorry about no links. Copied the "links" from another page and pasted as text.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I tried, but obviously I'm not one of the "Special People":

Then you must be one of the "Special People" that I don't share a community with. :(

It's a term of derision that's about three orders of magnitude worse than the venerable "Foo!". You see, with the cheapening of the "usual" profane terms new ones must be invented that carry some weight. Even a strongly intoned "F**K!" just doesn't impart any gravitas to a situation any longer because the term is so universally used!. What's a bloke to do when hauling the firearms out and shooting the place up is just a wee bit "over the top" but one still needs to get the point across?

Creating costumes is a hobby for some people. They recreate historical costumes, and sometimes create fantasy costumes.

I posted the link because the FAQ mentioned people who take commission work. It you have a concept, but lack expertise, you might possibly find someone who could turn it into reality.

Some of these people appear at science fiction conventions wearing historical costumes. They would be used to unorthodox clothing-these conventions tend to have masquerades that feature fantasy costumes.
