Roll call!!!

Post by Pythos »

I am not sure about most here, but I for one have noticed a very noticeable decrease in active members here.

So, perhaps it is time we got a roll call of the members that still participate in this forum.

If you don't post often, please say why, even if it is a mundane reason like "too busy"

I am curious to know who is still around.

Simple answer: too much drivel about 'make-up', 'feminising' or wearing men's sport/beach clothes. That's NOT what this forum is about.

As for the Roll Call, I'll have a pecan danish with a cup of black coffee :D

I look in around 2-3 times a day. Sometimes I will add my $.02 worth and
others I just browse through. Then there are times that I need to :hide:

I try to read what's going on on a regular basis, but my summer school is keeping me busy, and I don't often feel like I have anything to contribute.

I usually don't have much to say, and find that quite a few threads seem to be more suited for the Atrium, which is no longer of interest to me, now that I tend to be mostly kilted, although, it seems that the family has finally fully accepted the fact that I do also wear skirts and that it doesn't turn me into someone else.

Most of the time, I tend to check X Marks first, then I'll head here and see if there's anything of interest.

I read the mail several times a day. Both of my partime jobs do NOT ALLOW me internet access. (Can you believe it in this day and age?) In the evenings I am now kilted most of the time, except when I have to go out for a meeting or rehearsal. Apart form that, I contribute when necessary.

I'm here. I frequently read this forum. I like the mix of viewpoints and styles. I disagree with those who think it is 'too girlie' or there is too much 'drivel' e.g. about make up. (Do a google search about make-up for men. There's quite a bit around these days).
If you don't like particular topics, then don't read them but please don't impose your views on what this forum should, or should not, be about simply based on your own personal preferences and prejudices.

I think the header at the top of the pages says it all.

I agree with the top post.

I'm starting to get more active with posting, but I've been involved on and off for the last 11 years.

Oh my goodness. 11 years? [old] where did the time go? [/old]

I don't post much - because I don't have a lot to say.

To those that say you don't have nothing to say, you would be suprised at what you would say if you tried.

I used to be in that boat on other forums, then realized, what the hell was the point of being on if I wasn't going to contribute.

With all due respect, Steve, the whole point of this topic is that it is open (for once!) for folk to express their personal standpoints, not for others to question those views. :|

Thank you for the due respect. I agree that everyone can and should express their personal standpoint, but I feel that calling something 'drivel' is provocative and inflammatory. It is sufficient to say something like 'make up is not my cup of tea', or words to that effect.
