I'm gone.
I'm gone.
I thought I'll just say bye forever. I don't think the 'fashion freedom' thing is for me. After some comments I've recieved, I'm going to join the regular guys and wear what a man's supposed to. Hell, if it gets too hot, there's shorts.
Back in Jamaica, when it hits 35 deg C we manage in loose shorts. If not, we wear trousers. There's no real benefit for a man to wear skirts, IMHO.
I'm not going to criticize you for your 'lifestyle choice', but I won't be continuing any longer. pls delete my account and remove my pictures.
Later.
Jermaine E / Kilty.

I may be wrong but I thought you quit last year sometime? I remember writing in response to it.
You must have thought it useful to wear kilts at one stage or you wouldn't have the login name that you have. So it's not so much that there's no reason, but that your idea has changed?

The only thing man cannot endure is meaninglessness.
Is that the same Jermaine who, if I remember correctly, stormed out of IMFF when people started questioning his ridiculous postings and fake pictures? The one who also used other names like Tito and claimed to be a fundamentalist Muslim? Ah well, people come and go, some decide skirts aren't for them and that's their choice. I'm sure the rest of us won't be too concerned about it.
Regular Guys
I guess that means we are not regular guys!
Better add more fiber to my diet!
Hmm, the few, the proud, irregular guys!

Some here may disagree with my feelings on this, but as far as I am concerned, even with my "moderator hat" on, Jermaine is welcome back at any point so long as he respects the forum's mores and the forum's members. Divergent points of view are useful, and welcome, so long as they're presented in a respectful and civil manner. Now, I know that sometimes we all "go off half-cocked" from time to time (Guilty as charged, your honour), but what's never acceptable is a consistent pattern of disrespect.merlin wrote:I trust the moderators will keep a eye up to ensure he stays 'gone'?
To those whose toes I stepped on last night when I purged some spleen from my thread in the "Pics and Looks" forum, I apologise and point to "item 6 in the 'Rules of Engagement' thread"; I especially owe Sapphire a public apology as I mistakenly stepped on her comment. But, I was not going to tolerate the level of disrespect that was shown, and I do not expect anyone else here to have to put up with it either.
So, in short, all are welcome here so long as they are respectful to others and generally "play by the rules" (which are really quite far from Draconian).
Skirt on!

From my viewpoint, the entirely inappropriate and offensive "final post" by kilty showed a degree of immaturity quite at odds with the majority of members of this forum. While we may get hot under the collar over some issue, we don't descend into general abuse. We are mature enough to see that the "other" has a viewpoint that he or she finds equally valid and we respect that without necessarily agreeing with it. For my part, I will shed no tears over the departure of any divisive and abusive member.

I've been assualted twice for wearing a dress & its made me even more determined to practice Men's Fashion Freedom because bullies lose if you show you're not scared.
Oh because I wear a dress I’m not regular?kilty wrote: I'm going to join the regular guys and wear what a man's supposed to. Hell, if it gets too hot, there's shorts. .
Where is it written to say its regular for a guy to wear trousers?
I’m regular as any other guy my interests are football, beer & birds

Kilty, it's really not cool when you leave to just start doing personal attacks on others just because you've had a few incidents that most of us are trying to get above.
You know very little about most people on this board besides our interests in getting away from the usual marketing crap that companies feed from the common person. Telling us that we're not normal is an insult, and I don't like it. If you don't agree with what's going on and how you've been treated outside the board, that's fine. That's your reason. If you're not secure in who you are and are easily pursuaded by others to follow sheep, that's fine, but it's your problem, not ours - yet we'll try our best to encourage you, and explain what's going on and even help as much as we can, just don't blame us or the board for your insecurities.
