Who has pierced ears?
Who has pierced ears?
I have 2 holes in each earlobe, I usually wear a 3mm
CZ stud in the upper hole and a 4mm gold ball stud in
the lower, this includes at work. On weekends I switch
to hoops in the lower. When asked why I pierced my ears
I simply reply it's my "midlife crisis" .I'm more than old
enough to have one. What really suprised me was that
most women love it. So I guess it's OK to borrow their
jewlery as well as their skirts. Women still wear skirts
don't they?

pierced ears
I have both ears pierced - had it done in the 70's.
Had it done in a jewellery shop in Ilford where they did it while you wait.

I don't want to be a walking sieve, but I had both ears pierced when I was 19. Wore earings when I was doing national conscription, but if it was seen, had to remove them ( amongst other things safety reasons, don't want to get caught up in nato barbed wire with your earrings, do you now?
)
Since I wear skirts, I wear awide scala of earrings, most the same as women wear, pearl knobs, hangers, earrings, etc, as I also wear armbands and neclaces, and again, no I am not a travi, but a somewhat feminenly dressed man. Can I help it if I like "other" clothing more at the moment than standard men's wear? Wearing a dress can be the starting point to being more opener, more true to your wishes and feelings. Wearing skirts is often only part of a whole "comming out" with personal prefferences.

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.
I got my ears pierced when I was 16. My mother took me to the dermatologist and, even though I wanted to have my ears pierced, was so afraid of needles that I fainted three times.
Later, when I was 29, I faced a potenetially life threatening medical crisis. Pre-surgery they didn't know exactly what the abnormal tissue was, just that it was going to hemmorhage at any moment. So I went into surgery with no diagnosis and no prognosis.
They figured out what it was, fixed me up and I'm fine. In celbrationof living through it. II had a thrd piercing in my left ear only. I liked the asymmetry of it.
I have tons of earrings, most bought, but some handmade. For everyday I wear little hoops, the third piercing has a tiny hoop with a little charm of a cat's paw hanging from it.
My brother has one ear pierced and he wears a stud in it.
Around here, lots of men have piercced ears. No one thinks anything about it. In fact, there's a lot nose, lip, eyebrow and tongue peircing (Remember , this is a college town) Most of it turns my stomach, not because of the piercing itself, but because most of what I see is infected.
The newset big thing around here are tatoos. I don't have any, but as I get older, I'm considering "Do not resuscitate" across my chest. I do play around with temporary tatoos though.
My brother has two: a clover on his ankle and a splendid Pegasus on his upper arm.
How many of you have tatoos?

I contemplated getting my ears pierced many, many years ago but ultimately decided against it. So, at the moment, I'm piercing and tattoo free, much less any of the more "exotic" forms of body-"modification".

Thank you all for your replies. I am no fan of tattos,
but am always asked if I have any, or will be getting
any because of my pierced ears. I also am not crazy
about other body piercings but never express my
dislike for them, after all they're not in body so what
do I care. To each their own.

Peter v, there are many masculine (to whom like this terminology) styled women so it is not necessary to excuse yourself for wearing what so ever unless it is for a certain type of anatomy which we men do not have. Nothing against TV's but there are NOT fighters for men's fashion freedom and we are here to discuss men's rights not female impersonators'.Wear whatever you like as long as you present yourself as a male that you are
best regards !

There is nothing worse than double standard!
Yes, I do present myself as a male, but my choice of clothing is more free than most men would choose or dare to wear. As I describe exactly what I wear and am aware that it might be interpreted as more than manly, I mention the fact that I don't have artificial breasts, no hair piece, ( although I am getting thin up top) and don't use makeup. I am aware that my clothing choice is rather feminine, for so far as a man in clothes can be. But I do nothing to hide my manliness.
There is a wide range of skirt wearers. On one side, some who only change their pants for a skirt, and going to the far side, those who have a "finer" clothing choice and go in the direction of what is called Travesty, but not all the way. In between those two "extremes " there are uncountable variations, all of which are men in skirts. And all of which do not wish to immitate being a woman. Immitating being a woman has more to do with your face than wearing a skirt, as most women nowadays wear pants any way.
And I am a fighter for MEN in skirts, as also fashion freedom for men.

Two what, piercings or tattoos?? We were intermixing the two in the various terminologies, so I'm not sure which you were referring to.Pat G. wrote:I have two in each ear.

I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

I have a single piercing in each ear.
Had them done on honeymoon just over 10 years ago. My wife had a second piercing in each ear at the same time.
This allows me to wear a single male-type earring when I want, or a pretty pair on the occasion I do the full cross-dressing bit, rather than just wear a skirt.

All the best,
