'Tis the season...
...to watch the sale racks! I know a lot of you are still ass-deep in snow but down here in the sunny southland (rainy today, thank the Lord) the stores are changing fall/winter merchandise over to spring/summer, and some bargains are there to be had.
I bought this skirt at an area REI store today for $14 - reg price $49. It's the first one I've bought in several months.

Also found a couple stretchy "shaper" slips for about $3 each at Ross. Very nice - basically a lycra-spandex sheath. Also some synthetic silk "gauchos" marked down to $0.49! Very nice for the bed, but nothing I'd ever wear outside the bedroom. Very soft, creamy-smooth fabric.
A birthday coming up in the family - my excuse for a couple shopping expeditions. Even managed to buy the gifts while out!

Milfmog, and other perplexed souls,
First, may I say that I can't believe I actually know what these things are called. This fact will trouble me all day.
"Gauchos" is the collective term the fashionistas apply to a style of womens pants which are basically calf length with very large flares. They have little or no resemblance to the traditional bombachas worn by actual Argentinian gauchos, which are baggy trousers with buttons or straps or other constrictions at the ankles, but I'm not responsible for the purveyance of their ignorance, hence my use of "_" quotation marks. You can look at examples:

Apparently, similar pants at knee length with less leg flare are called "crop pants". Not sure what crop they're growing.
Full length pants with similar large leg flare they're calling "Pallazzo pants." Makes me think of tenor Enrico Pallazzo from The Naked Gun.
But, whatever nomenclature one chooses, they're still pants. Hope this sufficiently muddies the water for all.

"Gauchos" and their ilk just show the huge diversity women now have in what used to be an exclusively male garment, ranging from classy to hideous. They have a far greater choice in trousers than men do. Like all bifurcated garments, they can keep 'em
Perhaps one day in two or three millenia, men will have a greater choice of skirts than women (but I doubt it

Snow
The last time I experienced "snow" I was 15 in Reading Pa. while visiting to bury a relative. What I was told at that time about snow was very short.
Only eat snow if it's very white and far away from any streets or peopled places. Most importantly I was told to NEVER EVER EAT "YELLOW SNOW".
No one ever told me why, and it was years later that I was explained what "yellow snow" was.

I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
