I'm so glad I brought this topic back. Today I'm wearing a light aquamarine straight skirt just below the knees, with a hopping poison frogs pattern all over it. big front patch pockets and about 15 belt loops around the waist with a 2 inch wide leather belt. Bright orange short sleeve T shirt, Birkenstock sandals too.. 8)

Sounds like you'd be hard to miss in a crowd Skip :D

At present I'm in a Khaki just below the knee wrap skirt with a black t shirt emblazoned with the name of my favourite local pub.

Have fun,

Ian.

Yeh, I guess you could say that. I'm really not trying to hide from anyone and since I started wearing skirted garments in the central pacific in 1972 where all skirted garments are very colorful whether worn by men or women, I sort of got started with colorful and never went back. I have several black or blue or khaki skirts but I always feel better in colorful skirts.

On a sour note, my aquamarine froggy skirt ripped the other day and I think it might be unfixable. Boo hoo hoo... :(

gray skirt

Post by gshubert »

Today I have on a gray skirt and white tshirt. I've gone seven weeks without having to wear tr**sers. But the bad news is, one more week and I'm back to work, and the old, conventional wardrobe. Ahh, it's been a good summer. :)

Black pocket T shirt, waterskirt by Columbia Sportswear in some shade of lavenderish-bluishness (Hey, I'm a dude. I only come with 16 bit color!) My son says it is purple, my daughter says "periwinkle, like the crayon". (Is it okay for a hetero male to use the word 'periwinkle'?)

Dark blue denim skirt (buttons down the front rather than zips) and long-sleeve white tshirt. I found a couple nice denim skirts whilst shopping today, quite a successful outing. :)

Today? I've got on a white dress shirt (I only very rarely do tee-shirts) and my black tiered skirt that I got this spring. This is an "out and about" rig, and I'll be running errands in it later today.
