I have gone to wearing a fanny pack to carry the things I need with me for the day.
I wear it with skits, leggins, pants, shorts what ever I'm wearing that day.
For more dressed looks I'll wear a sports coat and then I can put wear put what few things I need in the coat pockets.

A fanny pack would work fine, I don't see why not. I'm pretty sure I have one, too, if I could just find it in the mess that is my apartment. I guess there are several options: fanny pack, tote bag, camera bag, and I think they make a man's shoulder bag, or maybe I'm thinking of a lap-top carrier. Also, you could carry a briefcase. The only thing about a coat or jacket, it wouldn't be very pleasant to wear when the weather gets sultry hot! Well, my friend Sue today helped me take some pictures of myself so I posted about four new pictures of me being skirted, ho ho. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I find this OP right along my usually harping point.
If one truly does look at history they would find that wigs, makeup, skirts, tunics, tights, hose, et all were in fact worn by both men and women, and that the original short skirts and tights were for MEN only. Women, wore dresses, or long skirts and usually NO undergarments with no exposure of the ankles. (still just as silly as our limiting rules we face these days)
Heels were born out of Warfare. They were needed for the horse mounted warrior to have more positive engagement in the riding stirrups. Something that these days is conveniently forgotten.
I still am baffled why makeup is not unisex. It makes a person's eyes stand out...what is so bad about that? I love how my eyeliner makes my blue eyes stand out. I like how I can have visible eyebrows when I wear a black wig.
I have been messing about with CDing, and to tell you the truth, aside from forms and other things there really is no reason for the sexually based forbidding of certain things we men face. Green day and other such bands have shown that eyeliner is a terrific addition to male appearance.
I myself have shown a quite androgynous and (not in my own words) striking look, utilizing makeup and certain clothing styles. But that is a highly stylized look more fit for parties or clubs, though if lessened it could be everyday wear.
However there is also a thread here where I present some ideas for men in skirts look. I am in miniskirts, hose, and nice boots or shoes. I in no way am trying to pass. The odd thing is, those looks I presented would be less accepted than my "fem" look. I am in my natural hair opposed to my favorite black (wonderfully messy) wig.
Men for the most part got the short end of the stick when it came to the sexual revolution. It was one sided and quite incomplete.
