Been messing around the yard and out seeding some flats with tomato and pepper for the farm. Today in dark taupe (fancy name for brown) Columbia Sportswear Opal Springs cotton drawstring skirt, black T shirt, flip flops. Nice weather today.

We just got back from dinner. I've got on my screaming lemon-yellow dress shirt ,my dark blue waistcoat, blue velvet skirt, off-white hose, and a navy blue ascot. I hope it looked good because I got no feedback.

I had a on an adidas tennis skirt thing with shorts under it (built in), and my nikePro LS shirt baselayer, and a black dirty impreza tshirt. Went into the bank as I was falling asleep from driving to the springs and back. Ran into the bank where the ATM was (was in a running mood to keep awake) and I was the only one there, and when I left I saw a couple cars turn into the bank and so I kind of ran back out to the car and a couple people saw me, but I didn't care.
What went through their mind is a mystery, and probably something positive or "that's different". Maybe he told his friends or whoever when he got home or maybe not, who knows.

I went to the Post Office today just to drop a bundle of mail in the slot in the lobby, not to stand on line.
I was wearing a bright navy chino skirt from L. L. Bean, sheer navy hose, navy athletic style slides, and a red long sleeve tee shirt. The skirt has pockets, but my wallet would make quite an unsightly bulge unless I slimmed it down, so I carried everything in a navy Travel Touring Bag, also from Bean.
I was pushing my comfort zone with the relatively short skirt (20 inches), colored hose, and bag. But I think pushing my comfort zone is good exercise sometimes.

Today I was out hiking in a local park wearing a Mountain Hardware Hiking Kilt, gray knee socks and tee shirt. It was a great 7+ mile workout!
No one else was out on the trails, but there were visitors, rangers, and staff in the parking lot and at the visitors center. I got a couple of long looks, but a friendly greeting from me got the same in return, so no one was too put off by the "skirt".
Yesterday I did 9+ miles of road walking and running wearing a blue Adidas running skirt (really a skort, with attached shorts under the skirt).

Went out twice skirted.
First, at 6:30 a.m., to do my grocery shopping. I was wearing my navy polyester pleated skirt with black knee socks and a red jacket. I've decided that the color combination just doesn't work: too much black below the belt makes me look dumpy. Better to match the socks to the shirt. Anyway, I discovered when I went to check out that my credit card and bank card had fallen out at home, so I had to run (I walked to the store) home. I also discovered that I need to put tighter elastic in the waist -- it was tending to slide down onto my hips.
Next, in the afternoon, I walked to the bank. By then I had changed into my knee-length denim skirt which somehow, to my eye at least, has a rather kilt-like appearance, and was wearing hunter green knee socks and a blue T-shirt. I thought I looked rather manly
. Met a neighbor and talked with him for a while. I confirmed that I don't wear this to work, but mentioned that it was a lot more comfortable than jeans.

Finally, finally, it's getting on into spring here in New England, and the temperature is reaching points where one doesn't just want to shut themselves up against the cold. In light of that, my black tiered skirt came out this afternoon -- sans winter jacket -- paired with my red waistcoat and pink shirt.
I think it cut a decent look until I got an eyeful of JRMILLER's rig. I feel rather humbled. What the heck did I have for dinner?

Hi matman,
I'm glad you liked that LLBean skirt link. It is nice and a good deal at $19.95. They have a deal on now that gives you a $10 gift card if you buy $50 or more.
I've never been to Washington State, Oregon, or the very northern part of California, but it's definitely on my to-do list. There's lots of pretty country out there!
