Australian Project Runway designer: Skirts can be masculine

Post by David R »

Here is a link to a good article about a designer in the Australian Project Runway who advocates skirts for men, and indeed wears skirts and dresses of his own design on Project Runway running now in Australia.

Video/film reports of skirts and kilts for men becoming mainstream are nearly always started from the perspective of the camp or risque English seaside postcard tradition.

The article itself doesn't seem camp, but if the other components of it have much of anything to with Rupert Murdoch's "News Corporation" or "Fox" then all bets are summarily off. I was unable to watch the video portion of the story.

Not a very good announcer. He didn't ask any of the men he spoke to if they had Horses or Harleys, or why they felt compelled to wear trousers in public even though probably every one he spoke to wears a towel wrapped around him to form a skirtlike garment when stepping out of the bath... :blue:
