On-line again

Post by Uncle Al »

Well, as I exchanged my cable modem I found out why my I-net has
been soooooo bloody slow. The power supply was on a recall notice
as it caused the modems to over-heat and burn out. With my new
modem I now have greased-lightning speed :!: :D

My wife's computer is wired directly into the router. I'm on a wireless
connection. She's getting 10 Mbps download and 1.7 Mbps upload
speed. On my computer ( wireless connection at 54 Mbps ) I'm
getting 5.6 Mbps download and 1.4 Mbps upload. I knew my computer
would be a bit slower because of the wireless connection.

But - Hey :!: I'm a Happy Camper Now :!:

(I must remember to set the encryption on the router)

If you have to ask then you don't want to know..... way tooooo much!
Something about wireless morse code being dispatched thru a subatomic particle accelerator.
Or in another form the pony express meets startrek in the next generation.
Damn fast!
If you had dial up service and switched to DSL or cable reality sets in - in a BIG hurry!

rm
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
