How about SkirtCafe "pin-up" pictures?

Post by AMM »

It's summertime in NYC, and maybe the heat (and humidity) have addled my brain, but I was just thinking (bad idea, I know!)

Maybe we'd get more people (including women!) visiting the 'Cafe -- and seeing men in skirts in a positive way -- if we could "brand" men-in-skirts as "Hawt."[*]

So here's my idea: what about trying to come up with "pin-up" pictures of sexy men in skirts to post at SkirtCafe? Sort of a "mug-wearing playmate of the month" or something?

I think there are a fair number of men at the Cafe who could do a good "beefcake" pose, but in a kilt or skirt. For example, there's the classic one: a guy dressed in nothing but in a knee-length skirt, posed with one foot up on a chair and a come-hither look on his face. But there's also the poetic look: a guy in a poet's shirt and a long silk skirt, with a quill pen in one hand and a dreamy, sensuous look on his face.

Of course, I'm having more fun imagining some specific people in some more interesting poses: for example, Carl in a Deadwood-style skirted outfit, his beard trained with mustache wax into a villainous point and surrounded with steam-punk accessories and maybe a dance-hall floozie or two. Or a frontal shot Bob in a dance skirt doing a ballet figure, such as the one where you frame your head with your arms and lift and extend your leg forward.

Any more ideas?

[*] I gather this is text-speak for "hot" = sexy.

Good Idea AMM :!:

However, I must take some time getting over the 'word pictures'
you've 'painted' for us

No--I really do see this as a positive approach in getting MIS/K accepted
by society and the public at large :alien:  :yay: :hooray: :kiltdance:

Would you be willing to 'Accept this Mission'* of putting together a 'pin-up' calendar :?:

I'm sure most of us here would be willing and able to email a pic or two for your selection.

A mountain hiker, a walker in a glen/field with the woods in the background,
a construction worker, someone grocery shopping--these are a few 'suggestions'.
Anyone else have a suggestion or would be willing to become a 'pin-up' guy :?:

That's a fun picture, you kind of match the statue sitting behind you, to the left of the fireplace!

Chris,

Looks like you're having quite a bit of fun with the camera.
Especially with the 'sneaky-grin' on your face :!:

Might be a bit risque' for a calendar though. One of your other pics
would work quite well as 'The Construction Worker in a skirt/kilt'.

Need to get Mugman to lend us one of his pics as a 'Musician in a skirt/kilt'.
That would help take care of the Arts Community. :boohoo:
(I'm not boo-hooing anything here, just to show a musician smilie.)

Anyone have a pic of themselves hiking :?:

Oh---Who is is the guy with the bus converted to a motor home :?:
The pic of him standing in front of the motor home is a good one too :!:

Stefan's pic of himself standing by the anchor is another good one for
a person on vacation. Very Casual :!:

I see what you are after, I was thrown off by the term 'pin-up', which usually means, well, risque! :D

How's this one, just as an example:

I don't know about anyone else, but risque' (or at least sexy) was what I meant.

(see photo of Chris in a truck cab.)

We're getting there. Nice view of the legs and biceps, emphasized by the contrast with the "tough" look of the truck and boots.

Now all you need is a little more of a "bedroom eyes" or "come hither" expression. Sort of a "hey, Honey, you can check out what's under my kilt any time you want!" look.
