a local paper. IS there anything I should know or be ready to answer.

I really want to use this opportunity to make a statement that a man in a skirt is normal.

It's perfectly acceptable for men to wear kilts - us Scots have been wearing kilts for 100's of years.

I'd find out who the writer is and have a look at any of their previous interviews to understand the style. Also try and find out the angle of the story then by looking at threads on this forum you might get some more information that could prepare you. Even with this you may get asked something you haven't thought of.

Above all I'd just advise to be yourself. - that will give you the confidence.

This is especially true because a seasoned interviewer will be able to spot a "canned answer" from a mile away, and can hear one coming from further out. Your responses should come from deep within, reflect your own personal outlook on things, and explain something about who you are and why you do things the way you do. You've got a wonderful opportunity; don't blow it by forcing an issue or trying to evangelise. Let the interviewer do that with his (or her) writeup.

Good luck!!
