skirt weather
Finally!
The temps have reached the low 70's and it is time to wear skirts again.

Re: skirt weather
Not only is it "skirt weather", but it's getting on into short skirt weather. It's going to be low 70s (F) here today, and sunny, and this weekend's temperatures may even crack into the low 80s. It's time to fish out my minis!
Woo hoo! Time to throw off the bonds of winter!

That reminds me - it's time to get my fishing license.
But yes - short skirts (knee length or shorter) are the order of the day.

Re: skirt weather
Well, im not much for the short skirt thing. Me knee length or just above will do. I can say it's nice to be able to wear a skirt in warm weather again. Can't wait to ditch the hose too, maybe

Re: skirt weather
It's all a matter of personal taste, one's body type, and one's comfort level. I think I look moderately OK in short skirts, but have "comfort issues" in public settings with them (which shows), so I usually only wear my short skirts around the house and yard.Well, im not much for the short skirt thing. Yep. I have to admit, I usually wear knee-highs now, even under trousers, but today hit the mid 80s (F) and that came as a bit of a shock to the system; I was sweltering in a dress shirt, calf-length cotton skirt, and sheer knee-highs (visiting old friends in my old town). Once I got home, I doffed the heavy stuff for a white cotton "underdress" that Sapphire cast off as a "failed experiment" during the winter; It's quite comfortable.I can say it's nice to be able to wear a skirt in warm weather again. Re: skirt weather
As quickly as the warm weather came - it left again so it's back to long skirts again.
How can the weather be in the 80's one day and the 50's the next?

Pat:
You live next door in Wisconsin - so enjoy the hills and valleys of recreational weather!
Have you noticed that during the mid week the weather is just great and then come the
weekend - everything has a damper put on it.
Works everytime and even more so when you want to sport a new skirt (MUG)!

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Re: skirt weather
Oh yeah! I''ve noticed that the weather has been much worse on weekends. This morning at 4 a.m. the temp was 41 and it was raining. What a miserable start to the day.
Like a kidney stone - this weather to shall pass.

Re: skirt weather
I'm working from home today, and it's over 80 F (27 C) in my apartment. Short skirt, T-shirt, cool drink, and no knee socks. It's supposed to be cooler for the rest of the week, though.

Re: skirt weather
It is in the 80s where I live and I have worn skirts several times in the past few weeks. I love this time of year. Short skirts are wonderful.

Re: skirt weather
I'm working from work today, and giving two lectures (the last two lectures of the school term.)
I am wearing a just-above-the-knee flared skirt. The fabric is in a green plaid pattern, but the plaid is layed on the diagonal and the skirt has no pleats, so only the most non-traditional will label it a kilt.
We'll see if the undergraduates find it too distracting.
