Saying Hello to All

Post by wsherman »

Hi there everyone!

I am not new to MUGS but I'm new to the Skirt Cafe. I am a 56 year young man and will celebrate 36 wonderful years of marriage this fall. I lost my sight three years ago and took early retirement and now occupy my time as a "house hubby" and I am activly involved with our State Association for the blind. I get around with a guide dog named Brinkley who I dearly love and find lots to laugh about in his antics.

I am a regular kilt wearer and do wear skirts occasionally about the house. I like the skirts for casual wear as I don't have to be pleat aware with them when I sit. I whole heartedly agree that a MUG is much more logical for men than trousers. My wife was not a happy camper when I first began to show an interest in skirted garments 10 years ago but now encourages amd accepts the kilt in public and the skirt in private. I think public wear for the skirt is only a matter of time and the right style.

Well I've rambled on so I'll leave it at this for now.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.

wsherman:

May I be the first to welcome you to this very liberal MUG/Kilt forum.
See you are from ND - hope you are on high dry ground hopefully in the
Roosevelt Rockies (western ND). Folks are having a real hard time in
the Fargo-Grand Forks area.
I am considerably upstream (Red River) and downstream (Minnesota)
on the bluffs in Bloomington (Twin Cities). I have watched the rivers
ebb and flow over the years and they are nothing to 2nd guess about.

High waters not withstanding feel free to jump into these muggly waters
and contribute to the adventure of wearing kilts, skirts or whatever
suits your pleasure.

Glad you are here - the more the merrier.

Welcome wsherman to Skirt Cafe'.

Many types of coffee to choose from, and plenty of discussion
covering many topics. Some may even try to 'skirt' an issue,
but the rest of us usually keep them on track

Have a great day, and again, Welcome to Skirt Cafe' :!:

"Muggly Waters?" That's quite funny I like puns! Thanks for the pun and the welcome rm.
Where I am in North Dakota is not out of the flood area but I am located high enough that we are safe unless it becomes Biblical in proportion. My Wife, my dog, and I are staying dry. You might have heard they shut down I-94 between Bismarck and Jamestown Tuesday due to flooding. It is open now but passable only at drastically reduced speeds (think 5mph).

Though I view myself as a conservative I realize that in order for men to get along there must be an understanding about what is important and what is not. IMHO what one wears is not one of the important ones. It is a matter of personal taste and comfort. Though I will admit that going too far in either the conservative or shall we say liberal direction wil cause concernation and panic among a few folks.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Where, in a MACK truck? I can see the logical man now, with his left leg wrapped around the steering column, right leg doing the work, after all, only about 15% of American men or less make a living on an actual HORSE anymore. 8) :alien: 8)

I'm a bit late in my welcome, but it is as sincere as any Aussie welcome is ( er, except for the refugees who we intern offshore for inordinate amounts of time  ) As most of us are animal lovers, I'm sure a few details about Brinkley would be welcome. :welcome:

Apologies for the late welcome; it is none the less sincere for my delay.

I bet Brinkley has no issues with you wearing a skirt :D

Have fun here,
