Only wearing half of the uniform that everyone else seems to be wearing. T-shirt, navy miniskirt, but, instead of tights, have opague navy blue trouser socks on.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!! Dropped to 40F last night and is about 42F now. I'm wearing cream extra thick tights, 2 long sleeve one over the other heavy T-shits, a royal blue 25" scrubs skirt, heavy socks over the tights and mid-calf leather boots. All that as well as having my electric living room heater and my bedroom electric heater as well. Good thing I shopped yesterday for the week, yesterday it was 78F here. :hide:

Right now I'm wearing a calf lenght denium skirt and black tee shirt.
I'm packing for an 8 day road trip to Cal. and back and I'm only packing skirts and some tights for cold weather, along with polos and sweaters and tee shirts.
Later,

Well, as of now Im not dressed for the day. I do plan on wearing my old navy jean skirt, nude hose, and a blue long sleaved shirt. I am going to make an attempt at going into my local mall to get my hair cut since I have to go play Ssgt this weekend. I plan on wearing my skirt until I get to the base and have to sign into my room to the night. Then I will throw a pair of paint on. Not becuase Im scared just becuase I am on a airforce base and I don't want any greif! :Rulz:

Heavy Orange T-shirt with a heavy long sleeved orange T-shirt over it, Navy blue tall man tights that go to my chest and have flappy ends to the feet, black mid calf A-line skirt with 3 layers under, layers are 3 nylon slips, very toasty down there. :) Black wool watch cap, and a brand new pair of size 12 ugg boots. Went to the pharmacy and bank, lady at the bank asked why I didn't have my hair in a ponytail as usual. I explained it was toooo cold outside for uncovered ears. 8)

This morning at 4 am Key West Airport reported a new Keys record low temp of 32F and at 6am there was a 5 minute period of "thaws on hitting the ground" snow. Only the 3rd time in recorded history that it snowed in Key West. Might have snowed here in Marathon too, but I was bundled up and hiding under the covers in bed in front of the space heater at that time. 8)

Currently wearing the same black skirts and t-shirt I wore today. Socks are these: http://www.sockdreams.com/_shop/pages/l ... D_1465.php

Got them in the black/gold pattern. Actually pretty nice, and comfy, with just the right amount of support for my usually sore and tired feet.

Put on my camo skirt over a lycra slip and footless green tights this morning. Black t shirt. Went outside and temperature has fallen again...back to winter. I'll probably change to sweats as i have yard work to do.

At the moment we are both en-frumped. Carl is wearing a zip up poketed blue plaid nightgown and I'm wearing my long pink print Lanz of Salzberg flannel nightgown and my fuzzy hot pink "moon boot" slipper/boots. I bequeated my blue print flannel Lanz of Salzberg nightgown to Carl.
Moderation is for monks. To enjoy life, take big bites.

Wearing something different for a change. Dug around in my skirts closet and found an old garment I used to wear a lot. It was a purple jumper (Jumpers in the USA are a kind of dress, not a jacket)that I did some sewing to. I made it straight instead of A-line, moved the rear zipper to across one of the shoulder straps, making it much easier to step into and giving me an overall compacted feeling with no tightness around my waist (like with a skirt) when zipped. It's 78F outside and about 75F inside and at my computer. It's my only garment I can have bare shoulders and neck area with and it feels nice for a change to have my hair laying on my shoulders and down my back to my upper armpits and actually feel the hair, which you can't really do through a T-Shirt. Same other stuff, black tights, brown loafers. Tights have become a semi-permanent part of my life as they do a great job for my varicose veins and cold feet and cold lower legs. :thewave:

Isn't long hair wonderful? It's way too cold here to even contemplate bare arms and necklines, so I'm going to have to wait for summer to feel mine again. :( That said, the jumper sounds like an intriguing idea. I may have to look into something like that for hanging around the house (I'd likely run 'foul of assorted dress-codes that forbid men in tank-tops).

In addition to providing visual interest, they also perform a practical function as well -- I'd call that a win.

I just wish that I could find thigh highs or knee socks that would stay up and I'd not need tights. I personally don't like the part of tights that are tight on my buttocks area. Takes away the ease of lifting my skirt to water my roses, as I still have to pull down the tights, so I end up pulling everything down to sit and water my Petunias. As I've been sitting to water the plants for 30 years, that's probably not going to change. Sometimes I pull the tights down below my buttocks and allow the connected part to stay there and the tights stay up when I do that, but, sometimes it gets too sharp and hurts me. I tried a hockey players garter belt but it didn't work. :(

Boohoo, Stuck today in khaki shorts as my friend that does my laundry came by yesterday when I was out fishing and scooped up all my clothes to wash without checking what was dirty or clean and is washing them today. So I'm stuck in yesterday's fishing shorts until my laundry comes back tomorrow. So I'm wearing an Orange T-Shirt with elbow length sleeves, "Them" shorts, brown tights that I cut off at the upper thighs and roll up down to my knees for warmer days like today. Brown loafers. :hide:
