Hot Topic Kilt

Post by Jaiden42 »

We were wondering around the mall with some friends Sunday afternoon and stumbled into Hot Topic. High in the back of the store a friend pointed out the kilt. I could see the price tag of $54 and thought "I'm not sure about that, 60 bux for a garment that most likely isn't worth it and I just spent money on her birthday and valentines day is next weekend". But my girlfriend would have none of that. She insisted I try it on. Upon closer inspection it was actually on sale for half off. I could do $27 a lot easier than $54! The first thing I noticed was "this thing is kinda heavy... and..hey the pleats are sew in. This is built a lot better than I had expected." My 38" waist barely fit into the XL size and again, the girlfriend insisted that we buy it. It's definitly not a traditional kilt with all the pockets, belt loops and zipper down the front and D rings everywhere. But it's pleated around the back, flat in the front and wraps to the right so I guess it technically falls into the "kilt" catagory. For less than 30 bux, I consider it a steal. I'm sure it will get lots of wear.

It looks a little long on their website, but I'm 6'4" so it fits just about right on me.

He sure does, Sapphire.. Gives me second thoughts about maybe buying a kilt. I've always resisted because of my size but Cessna looks SO good in a kilt I start to think he looks BETTER than a less healthy(hehehe) person would in that same kilt. :alien: 8)

I think kilts look really good on the heavier man, that is why I am quite happy to wear mine in public. I haven't got the sort of legs that would look good in short skirts so kilts or longer suits me.

Yep...a very good looking kilt. Id say it was a good buy at $27.
