An afterthought of Halloween

Post by Since1982 »

1 hour, 10 minutes after Halloween, Nov. 1, 1941 a wee Skip was born, I've always wondered if I was an afterthought or leftover from Halloween or a Saint...Nov. 1 is "All Saints Day" in the Catholic Church. I've tried convincing lots of people I was a Saint, most people can't wrap their minds around that possibility... :alien:

Now, Skip, another question might be, what was special about Saturday, February 8, 1941?

Happy birthday, Skip!

:hb:

That'll give me something pleasant to contemplate on what, otherwise, is likely to be a perfectly rotten day.

First off, now that it's the 1st, Happy Birthday, Skip! :hb:

Now for the answer to today's puzzler (or at least a very, very strong hint):

November 1, 1941 minus 38 weeks equals February 8, 1941. :hmmm:
(But if you're a preemie, the 38 weeks is too long.) :hide:

Kris, I still dont get it. Yes I am a preemie. weighed 2 lb 2 oz at birth 7 months old. Was born dead. As were the 6 previous preemies my mom had, I was the only one that survived, also the first and only male preemie she had so I had lots of 1 - 6 year old clothing waiting. My parents weren't affluent so I had to wear what was there. Lots of pink things.

Kilted John, does that mean I could have been your DAD...a sobering thought indeed! :hb: :hb:

Wow, Skip, your family had a rough time, and you had a difficult beginning. Sorry I brought it up.
I don't know if I was being too obscure, too obtuse, or too obvious, but...
38 weeks is the "normal" gestation time for human beings, so I was just going back from one special date, birth, to another "special" date, conception. So, "November 1, 1941 minus 38 weeks equals February 8, 1941." But not for preemies. (I'm one, too.)
Again, sorry I brought it up.

Preemies grow up to be skirt wearers. We got out early and have been doing things before other people ever since! :hooray:
