What could really be considered "stupid" or at least not researched, is responding to a member that no longer posts here for a post he made over two years ago, this response to which I doubt he'll ever see.

You may be right Skip, but it did bring back a thread I'd completely forgotten reading before and raised a smile for me so Ziggy's post was not completely wasted.

Have fun,

Air, nicely chilled by Trane and perfumed by my sneakers, dirty socks, and Irish Setter aroma from a napping dog. She snores a bit but I'll let her lie.

Chilled?

Air, nicely warmed by Brother Sun. (It's finally up into the 70s here.)

We actually broke into the 70s here today. A cool front took us way down to 79F for today's high with a breeze and much lower humidity. Positively autumn-like!! But i know the weather is just teasing us - Mother Nature is a cruel temptress. We'll be back into the 90s before long. It doesn't cool down here until mid-October.

Lucky Sasquatch.... Here, we get 2 months of winter, then 10 months of summer. Some months are hotter than other months but hot is still hot. I hate to think about leaving but I need to find a new place to live. I'm getting too old for running away from Hurricanes every year or living inside all the time to escape the heat. When I was younger I used to tell older folks that if they couldn't stand the heat they should get out of the kitchen, I'm about to take my own advice. 8)

Eastern NC? Hotter than hell 5 months straight, 5 months of mild but dreary winter, one month each of gorgeous spring and fall! Come on up. The cost of living ain't too bad.

I live in the Florida Keys...You know, right where the hurricanes come across the Southern Atlantic Ocean from Africa to. Which means I'm breathing AFRICAN DUST...wayyyy too much of it too. It's all over everything here. It will ruin a computer in about 5 years, you just can't keep ahead of it.

I'm sitting here in my favorite pencil skirt made from that fishy material I have so much of. I still have at least 15 yards of it, maybe I'll try making a peasant skirt and sew the fishies on in a way they seem to be swimming side to side when I twirl it. :)

That sounds like a capital idea. So long as your fabric doesn't have a noticeable nap and the fish look the same upside-down as right-side-up, it'll be a nice win.

Back on topic of "what are we breathing", I'll have to sheepishly admit to a mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, other traces, and a too-lean-to-burn mixture of hydrogen sulfide and methane. It's the stress -- I turn into a gas generator when nastiness at work ramps up.... (At work, it may be flammable, and possibly even explosive; that's why I have a sign on my door stating "NO OPEN FLAME".)

Poor Argon! Always gets written off as "just a trace"! But at almost 1% of the atmosphere (by volume), we breathe quite a bit of it.
:sorry: Argon!
There's about 1E17 pounds of it floating around. That's 100,000,000,000,000,000 pounds for those who don't do scientific notation. :)
