Denim is very hardwearing - ideal for traipsing through the reeds.

Look - these short one-liners give the impression that the rest of us are involuntarily overhearing a private conversation, which isn't nice. We haven't a clue who Podgy and the rest of your gang are.

Wearing skirts to go birdwatching is an admirable topic, but please let's have some more details. A bit more about yourselves would be a good starting point, Most people volunteer some information about themselves when they start posting here - it's only polite. How long you've been wearing skirts, general location on the planet, where you are watching birds, what sort of birds, just wild open country bird-watching, or organised hides, etc. you know, stuff like that. Surely that's not too much to ask?

If you just want to chat privately then use the PM system or e-mails or just phone each other, for goodness sake.

I agree with you Steve. One-line messages are stupid.

Of "one-liners" and respect

Post by crfriend »

Mod hat on.

Gentlemen, and you likely know who you are, I'd like to point up that some of the responses in this thread come perilously close to violating the rule of "mutual respect" that we expect everyone on the forum to display. Exchanging cryptic on-liners does nothing to broaden the scope of men's skirt-wearing and creates noise for everybody else. Furthermore, snide comments directed at other members of the community are not welcome. Please knock it off.

I did not write that, FKL1980, and you know that full well. Deliberately mis-quoting someone is the baldest form of disrespect that one can show in an on-line forum. You should be ashamed of yourself.

This thread is terminated.
