NFL = "No Field Lubrication". It's a term applied to roller-bearings on railroad rolling stock.

I hate to be a swine but, [Mod hat on] this has precisely nothing to do with getting skirted garments accepted on men in day-to-day life.

Fantasy football (of whatever ilk) is a fine and good way to pass one's hours, but let's please keep SkirtCafe on-topic and on-mission.

Thanks.

You missed the context. That was written during a very stressful period of time. Moderators are only human, and get burned out too.

Then there's "Australian Rules Football", although that smacks of oxymoron. ;)

Yeajh I use to watch it when they showed it on free to air here & you're right about oxymoron however since then they have actually introduced rules as guys were breaking their backs or dying.
