Slept in the T-shirt, just threw the same skirt on as I got up. (I usually sleep from 4 am to 2 pm daily, that's usually..as I was in a nocturnal business for the last 25 years of my working life. Hard to break the habit, most of the best TV shows are on late at night. I get my kicks from cop shows where the cops happily abuse the "perps" on camera as if it's perfectly OK to trip someone who's been handcuffed, kneel on their neck and scrape their face on the tarmac. Seems to be OK as nearly all the cops on TV do it. I wonder sometimes when they have a "perp" caught behind a wall, handcuff him behind the back, and just push him head first over the wall to land on his face without a worry that the perp will get a broken neck. I guess the cops don't show the perps on TV that DO get a broken neck. O well, this is becoming a very violent society we live in. Actually, the only person in the last 6 months that's asked me "Why the skirt?" was a local Sheriff's Deputy. I answered "Why not?" to which he just looked puzzled and wandered away. :hooray:
Sometimes I wonder how they can call people "perps" until they've been to court. I'd think they'd be "suspects" until they'd been convicted of anything. Only then would they be perpetrators. :woops:

At the moment, a primarily sky-blue Hawaiian shirt with island scenes printed on it in white, various greens, beige and red; beneath that, a calf-length black A-line skirt, and men's "loafers". Note that this is also an "out and about" rig; I got back from running a couple of errands in it a few minutes ago.

At the moment I'm in my Columbia Opal Springs skirt (brown stretch cotton blend), a navy blue, grammatically incorrect, Big Dogs Tee shirt that reads "Big Dogs only drink beer on days that end in 'Y' " , a tarnished hammered-link ankle chain (that used to be a pocket watch chain), and 'Sunburst metallic' polish on my toenails, kind of an orangish pink, a very good color with my tan legs and feet according to my teenage daughter 8) . And underneath white Nautica lycra boxer briefs, and, yes, I know we're not supposed to talk about our underwear, but these hold "my boys" so comfortably that I would be remiss not to include them!

Wearing a home made (from Levi's) knee length straight denim skirt, an old washed out blue T-shirt, no shoes...very comfy with a home made from an old cotton T-shirt underskirt which I like to wear with denim which is a bit rough for my old legs. I don't understand why anyone would wear a T-shirt that calls attention to their look and then insults anyone that notices it. I'd rather assume everyone is good and friendly until they prove themselves to be otherwise.... :thewave: :hooray:

Here is what I am wearing right now as I type. I am wearing a 29" black suit skirt, 28" black half slip (becuase this skirt is unlined), Suntan hose, and a dark striped mens dress shirt. This is my first time wearing a slip and I really didn't want to wear one, but when I went in to see my counslar the last time I wore the skirt with out she asked me if I was wear a slip with the skirt I said why. She then told me that she could see the skirt sticking to my legs and hose as I walked. I said no she then sugested that I get one and wear it with this skirt becuase of the type of matereal that it is made out of. I really didn't want to becuase I tought of slips being to Fem. but I managed to go to my local walmart and find a black one that didn't really look to Fem. so to speak. Now that I am wearing it I see what she was talking about the skirt doesn't build up the static like it was with the slip in between me and the fabric of the skirt. With the skirt being black and the slip being black it is really hard to tell that I even have one on!

This is an error in thinking. The slip, or "underskirt", in this context is nothing more than a tool that's being used to control another garment or mitigate other conditions that may occur (like strong backlighting). It's not a "girly" thing at all; it's a "skirt thing" and has to do with the garment one is wearing, not whether one is "femme" or not. The same argument ("that looks girly") occasionally gets used on guys with long hair who, by nature of the long hair itself, spend time fiddling with it; the "answer" in this case is that "It's not a girly thing, it's a long hair thing."
Now that I am wearing it I see what she was talking about the skirt doesn't build up the static like it was with the slip in between me and the fabric of the skirt. With the skirt being black and the slip being black it is really hard to tell that I even have one on!
That's the whole point, unless you're going after it for the sake of fetish. Note that some of the folks here wear slips under their kilts to avoid the scratchiness of the wool and to reduce the frequency with which the outer garment needs to get laundered.

Don't worry about wearing a slip or underskirt as being ''girly'', you can always cut off the lace, and then there is absolutely no reason to think of it as anything but a man's underskirt. I wear one in the winter when it gets cold here for warmth. I also have several skirts with built in liners. None of these have any lace edges, I've cut them off. If you cut it off make sure you leave a tiny bit of the seaming at the top of where the lace was to keep the slip from rolling up. :)

Today, I'm wearing one of my favorite garments, a straight jumper that I've removed one of the straps that go over the shoulder for ease of entering. Also, it makes me look somewhat "George of the Jungle" ish...hehe. I just step into it like a straight skirt and pull the one strap over my right shoulder. I really like this purple garment, it has huge patch pockets in the front and rear. Also a med weight orange (curry) T-shirt and sandals. :thewave: :thewave:
